回應：Blogs that contains audio and pictures

Hi,

I just found your english language page and now I understand what your post was about.

You are absolutely right - due to a problem I have had with some of my audio editing software I unfortunately anded up converting some of my recordings into mono :-(

Dallas Simpson notified me of this last week on the Yahoo Phonography Group, and thankfully I have resolved the problem :-)

It was a bit lazy of me to not notice myself!

I'm quite embarassed too T_T

Once Blogger's publishing error has been fixed I'm going to post an explanation o_-

Kind regards,

Ollie (bad_sector)

回應：An exhibition of the works of environmental sounds

It is pretty tiring for travelling all the way from London to Taiwan to make the exhibition possible. I have been having only 4~5 hours of sleep everyday for 2 weeks. Sometimes it is even fewer! It is embarrassing to say that at the moment, my face does not look healthy at all. ^_^
Last Friday afternoon, the host, Council of Culture in Taiwan hold the press meeting and the private view for us (8 artists). It is a very new and unforgetable experience to me. In the past 10 years, although I have gained lots of experiences in exhibiting artworks, all of them were taken place in the UK. This is my first show in Taiwan and I am very glad to have this day. By showing works in Taiwan, I can finally share my works and emotions with my good old friends and family in Taiwan. They have been supporting all the way. While sincerely inviting all of you to come to experience my sound works, please allow me to dedicate the works to my old mates and family.
Thank you all and hope you can come to have a visit. All comments are welcome!

回應：Korean TV drama

Dear ecicada,

many thanks for bringing to our attention the case of the Korean TV drama Winter's Sonata. I agree with you that the two main songs are very catchy and I was also poisoned to watch it every day. However, this TV drama features many other songs particularly in the later episodes. It was really interesting to hear several western songs (like those of the Beatles) to be played in the bars that the main characters of the show visited. Also the programme of the radio station was based on classical music. I think that this is a manifestation that music is a global language. While western music was the companion of the main characters in their nights out, Korean pop music created addiction to western audiences to watch the show.

Best regards,

Dr Konstantinos Melachroinos
