Taiwan Soundscape

Here is an introduction about the development of soundscape studies in Canada and Japan by Professor Juju Wang. It's written in Chinese.

A group of researchers in Taiwan Normal Univerity has done this soundscape research. See abstract. The paper can be downloaded. (Vol. 11)

The news on TV today mentioned about Tennessee fainting goats. The TV presenter said that the goats fall over when they are shocked by noises. The motion is very amusing. You can see it from a video in this website! It's a shame that the video does no include the noise that scared the funny goat.

The definition of 'sounds of Taiwan' in this blog includes nature-made and man-made sounds available in Taiwan. Perhaps you have a different point of view? ^_^

Hi, my name is Tsai-Wei Chen. Currently, I am a PhD student in music department of Goldsmiths College, University of London. My research subjects surround Taiwanese sojourners' listening experiences in London.
