Death Cab for Cutie - The Open Door EP



西雅圖獨立指標樂隊Death Cab for Cutie出新EP了！這張插畫封面很明顯在呼應去年那張Billboard冠軍專輯《Narrow Stairs》，是開向天花板的窄梯（好可愛！）。這由Walla製作、Ben Gibbard寫歌的5首歌迷你專輯，收錄了一些不太適合出現在《Narrow Stairs》的歌，怎麼說？有點太...Ben Gibbard個人化？有點不夠晦暗？總之你現在可以聽聽看剛釋出的這些單曲〈A Diamond And A Tether〉、〈My Mirror Speaks〉、〈Little Bribes〉、〈I Was Once A Loyal Lover〉，鑑定一下：

〈A Diamond And A Tether〉裡Ben唱著「Pity, take pity on me / 'Cause I'm not half the man I should be / Always turning to run from the people I should not be afraid of.」如此輕鬆愜意的DCFC久違了；〈My Mirror Speaks〉拍子比較重一點，而〈Little Bribes〉則洋溢著濃濃美式風情，頗不賴。

新增：原來強的還在後面...〈I Was Once A Loyal Lover〉濛著微微噪音plus超有精神的鼓，舒爽極了。幾首聽下來，我幾乎覺得EP比正專輯強多了。

現在連I Was Once A loyal Lover的視聽亦在Stereogum放出來了（說是一周preview一首最後變成每天preview）~XD

KCRW那系列的現場錄得都超好，我最喜歡是Title And Registration和Photobooth~
