音樂是這世界上最美好的事

「Blur Reunion」絕對是這幾天各大傳媒的火力焦點，從NME率先曝光開始，包括英國本土的Guardian、The Sun、BBC，再吹到美國的Billboard、Pitchfork、Filter...加上部落客的瘋狂貼文，搞得好像大家都要去海德公園朝聖一樣（有錢再說...）。沒辦法，誰叫他們是全部歸隊。包括2002年宣佈離團的吉他手Graham Coxon、跑去做西遊記原聲帶的Damon Albarn、參加BBC實境選秀節目的Alex James、還有成為英國工黨Activist的Dave Rowntree，闊別六年，他們將在明年July 3於英國海德公園舉辦演唱會，本週五（12/12）就會開賣；也有傳言他們將再度於Glastonbury打頭陣...

Damon Albarn說：「We're not completely useless or pointless, we've got a reason to exist."」

無論是以何種理由重組，就算是回憶過去的榮光，或就算是靠巡迴搶錢，我們也被搶得心甘情願。也許我們可以忘掉Gorillaz、The Good, the Bad and the Queen、Monkey，但始終無法將《13》與《Blur》抽離。



於是某個神秘粉絲，在倫敦的千禧橋上畫下塗鴉（上圖），那是取自〈Out Of Time〉的歌詞，寫著：「And you've been so busy lately / That you haven't had the time / To open up your mind / And watch the world spinning / Gently out of time.」

我想起曾經站在橋上仰望聖保羅大教堂和泰德現代美術館的時候，風很大。如果可以真的好想再回去走走，坐那骯髒的地鐵，去海德公園晃晃。


PS. 那麼，從The Verve、Portishead、The Jesus and Mary Chain、My Bloody Valentine（甚至Take That、Prince）以降的重組列車，下一個是誰？（有Promoter已經開始放話了...）

Blur will play a live show in Hyde Park in Summer 2009.

Graham Coxon will join Alex James, Dave Rowntree and Damon Albarn onstage for this first time since their Royal Festival Hall performance in 2000.

The concert will take place at London's Hyde Park on Friday 3rd July 2009, and tickets will be on general sale from 9am Friday 12th December 2008 at www.livenation.co.uk.
