加速的後風景。Editors


無精打采的早晨，遲到上班，摩托車背景拼貼的是灰濛濛的天空。記不得幾次是這樣的精神不濟，選擇將MP3 Player裡的Editors開催，車速不自覺地加快，若要選一首年度最佳振奮單曲，〈Smokers Outside The Hospital Doors〉無疑可以直接冠軍加冕。帥氣的鼓就這樣重重打下去，電吉他與效果器聲響囂張地高漲狂飆，在滿滿皆是Climax的情緒裡，暫歇，再度用重鼓攀上一波漲點！

Editors - The Weight Of The World


去年對Editors尚未如此有印象，也許是愛上了The National的緣故，讓我重新拾起他們低沉迷人的聲音，加速而令人隨之點頭的破表節奏。來自英國伯明罕的Editors，四位成員包括主唱Tom Smith、吉他手Chris Urbanowicz、貝斯手Russell Leetch、鼓手Ed Lay，常被指涉有著Interpol、Joy Division的影子，踩著後龐克復興而來。

首張專輯《The Back Room》讓Editors一炮而紅、大獲好評，不但UK榜第二，還入圍2006年的英國水星獎，接著今年的《An End Has a Start》直接竄升UK榜冠軍，聲勢壯大。雖然部份樂評對第二張的評價往往不怎麼客氣，但自己仍是愛個半死，或許跟自己愛煽情歌有很大的關係（？）。第一張的痛點有：〈Munich〉、〈Blood〉、尤屬〈Bullets〉那幾乎快要斷氣的唱法，毫無喘息有夠爽。第二張的最大痛點剛剛說過了，在主打歌〈Smokers Outside The Hospital Doors〉，每放一次就毫無招架能力一次；其他愛歌還有〈An End Has A Start〉、〈Escape The Nest〉、〈The Weight Of The World〉的哀傷壯麗，聽罷，實在忍不住想立刻衝去英國看他們。
所以。快吧。加速。你也會愛上Editors編寫的車後風景。
