音樂是這世界上最美好的事

簡潔的封面印著L、E、V、Y四個大字，專輯名稱叫做「腐爛的愛」（Rotten Love），自2005年聽到現在卻一點也沒有腐敗。反而，他們會讓你想起搖滾最原始的美好，宛如Coldplay的流暢旋律，一首接著一首。回音開得很大，鼻音放得很重，好似在廢墟裡隨意架起舞台，建構疏離末世的荒涼場景。

LEVY是由James Levy（吉他、主唱）、Matthew Daniel Siskin（吉他）、James Broughel（貝斯）、Mike Jones（鼓）成立於2004年，四人從紐約出發，短短一年便被知名獨立廠牌One Little Indian Records（旗下有Björk/Sugarcubes）相中簽約，發行《Rotten Love》。AMG是這樣評論Levy：「如果Interpol是Smiths的死忠粉絲，他們大概就會做出像《Rotten Love》這樣的專輯。」（哈）

如果要我從《Rotten Love》選出最喜歡的歌，我恐怕還真的選不出來，歌曲的質素相當平均，諸如爽朗直接的〈Rotten Love〉、〈In The Woods〉、〈Rivka〉、〈See Saw〉，緩版抒情的〈On The Dancefloor〉、〈Rector Street〉〈Wednesday〉...沒有一首不打動我，尤其是〈Wednesday〉的悲傷淒涼（歌詞寫道：「無論我怎麼做，我的愛人走了，我的好友也死了」），聽完不感動者沒心肝啊...

前幾天不小心晃到官網，告示著Levy第二張專輯已錄製完畢，即將開始巡迴英美兩地的消息，並釋出不少新作試聽。聽完幾輪，雖沒有上張專輯來得驚豔，但還是很合我胃口。
