音樂是這世界上最美好的事

在誠品聽到〈Don't Take My Sunshine Away〉的第一個片段，沒騙你，真的有種眼淚要奪眶而出的感覺，lo-fi呢喃低語、pop爽朗鼓擊，推陳至中段再予以哀戚弦樂，煽情的恰到好處的時候，更來了醒腦的noise回歸lo-fi作結。實在太銷魂了、太黯然了！他們是Sparklehorse（天馬樂團），這是他們的第四張專輯《Dreamt for Light Years in the Belly of a Mountain》。

以Mark Linkous為首的Sparklehorse，基本上就是真的以他為主，再找來其他樂手作歌的單人團體。1995年發行專輯名超長的《Vivadixiesubmarinetransmissionplot》後即獲得各界讚譽，但卻在在巡迴演出時，Linkous因為酗酒問題而差點掛，曾一度心跳停止兩～三分鐘，還差點丟掉兩條腿。

或許也因為這樣的瀕死經驗，Linkous於98年發表的《Good Morning Spider》有著「鬱悶卻帶有希望的痛調」，更受大家喜愛；2001年聽起來Life一點也不Wonderful的《It's A Wonderful Life》發行，包括Tom Waits、PJ Harvey、Nina Persson（羊毛衫女主唱）都名列助陣行列。

以上我都來不及參與，幸好今年趕上了《Dreamt for Light Years in the Belly of a Mountain》，這張請來（嘻哈）音樂製作人Dangermouse開發不同樣貌的專輯，從首曲低喃希冀情人別離開的滿地心碎，到〈Ghost In The Sky〉〈It's Not So Hard〉的草根暴烈...聽著聽著，無論如何峰迴路轉，再怎樣都無法忘懷Linkous的夢幻低迷，往外走出，嘴裡仍輕哼著：Please don't take my...sunshine away...
