音樂是這世界上最美好的事

關於反覆聽著一張專輯的事
我向來覺得有幾個名字我實在沒辦法到達
像是Bjork, Radiohead, Tori Amos...

並不是因為專輯不好聽
事實上他們的歌好聽極了
但歌者的悲慘哀淒聲線有時都快把我逼瘋了
（對，碧玉小姐，我說的就是你
不去細究歌詞的情況下我還以為Cocoon這首歌是有人要死了）
所以從來沒辦法重複的去聽他們

但，也許是年紀漸長的關係
有些東西慢慢被打開，而有些卻漸漸被關閉
最近我竟然能連續聽The Eraser（Radiohead主唱Thom Yorke的個人專輯）
而不感到神經衰弱

或許是這張專輯真的很好聽吧
自首曲「The Eraser」節奏性規律強烈的電子襲來
就不斷的向一座無底深淵墜落下去
拿來當作任何迷幻、嗑藥、疏離場景的背景音樂都行
因為這張專輯就是這樣的場景

比起電氣化後的Radiohead
我更覺得The Eraser整張專輯在「旋律」上面之精彩度是完全有過之無不及的
亦即在聽過一遍後能毫不猶疑地強烈想起
一段又一段低靡迴盪的調線



從第一首之後「Analyse」、「The Clock」、
心機掃瞄主題曲「Black Swan」完美的挖深陷坑
一首「Skip Divided」歇息之後
便是我最愛的「Atoms for Peace」

「Atoms for Peace」充滿著希望的救贖意味
沒有挑剔政府沒有挑剔虛假沒有挑剔敵人
反而是「我想拉你一把，讓事情繼續運作」
(I want you to get out
And make it work)

或者「有那麼多同伴，所以感覺來自他們的愛吧」
(So many allies...
So feel the love come off of them)

溫暖緩歇的微微電持續運送脈搏
加入後段宛如聖神降臨的教堂聲響（是管風琴嗎？求證各位）
彷彿有了浮升的希望
湯姆叔果然還是有小孩的爸爸呀（哈哈）

然後接下來兩首都挺有主打歌氣勢的
「And It Rained All Night」拋開前曲的希望再度摔跌
「Harrowdown Hill」則又是描述社會黑暗的沈重故事

「我是自己摔落還是被推落的？而血跡又在哪裡？」
Did I fall or was I pushed?
And wheres the blood?

「Harrowdown Hill」的MV裡一隻飛翔的鳥
是這樣的意象。只要走上了一個位子
就等著被當作不方便的東西除掉了吧

話說回來，這次水星獎湯姆叔也被提名啦
得獎呼聲跟Arctic Monkeys同樣高
當然爆冷的機會年年有
Editors的英倫搖滾也來勢洶洶（還不賴說）
我準備入圍者都聽過一次後（雖然機會渺茫）
也來猜測一下得獎的會是誰嚕～
