倫敦大學等三所大學，是歐洲第一批將授課內容公開在iTubes U的高等學府。

    　倫敦大學負責iTunes內容的教授莫布斯指出，透過iTunes學生們可以重溫上課的內容，可以隨時隨地學習，包括影音及其它授課內容。

    　倫敦大學初期將安排包括神經科技、廣播新聞摘要、「午餐時間演講」等內容安排到iTunes；開放大學則計劃安排三百個影音課程檔案。

    　都柏林三一學院則計劃將記者赫希、科學家溫斯敦、作家德賽及蘇格蘭首席部長薩孟德等人的演講內容，安排在iTunes。

    　開放大學副校長郭爾利表示，對世界任何一個角落的任何人而言，以簡易的方法取得授課內容，無疑是令人興奮的機會。

    　他說，「我們的目標就是希望利用網路，提供更彈性、更個人化及更方便的學習內容，不論你目前的教育程度為何、個人所處環境為何、或科技的能力為何，都能享受到遠距學習」。

    　事實上，包括美國哈佛大學、耶魯大學、史丹佛大學、加州柏克萊大學及麻省理工學院等，都己利用iTunes 提供授課內容，在歐洲則是第一次。

These tools have been taken from the Top 100 Tools for Learning 2008 list compiled from the Top 10 Tools lists of over 100 learning professionals worldwide and are a mix of personal productivity tools (for managing personal learning) as well as authoring tools (for creating learning solutions). Many of them are Web 2.0 tools that promote a social, collaborative, sharing approach to learning.

1. Firefox plus extensions - a web browser - Tool  |  How to
   This is clearly an essential tool; it is your "window on the web" and the basis of everything you do.  But Firefox is more than a browser; the hundreds of extensions available provide an enormous range of extra functionality not found with other browsers.

   An image is worth a thousand words!  If you are looking for a place to host your personal or professional picture collection, to tag them and share them with friends, colleagues and others, then this is the place to do it. 

10. Voicethread - a collaborative slideshow tool  -  Tool  |  How to
    Using PowerPoint presentations or flickr images you can create an audio slideshow and audio comments can also be left by others.

11. Wordpress - a blogging tool  -  Tool  |  How to
    Blogging can be both a personal or professional activity.  Many people say that they have learnt more by blogging (and hence reflecting upon things) than by any other means.  Wordpress makes creating a blog very easy, and there are many plugins available to embed resources like flickr images, Slideshare presentations, and so on into it.

    This downloadable tool makes recording and editing audio very simple, and with the extra encoder you can convert your audio files into MP3 podcasts.

13. YouTube - a video hosting and sharing tool  -  Tool  |  How to
    Videos can now be easily created using webcams, camcorders and even mobile phones.  You can then upload them into YouTube and share them with others.  Simply point your users to the pages where they are to be found or else embed them in your blog or website. 

14. Jing - a screencasting tool  -  Tool  |  How to
    This is an ?/font>always-ready? program that instantly captures and shares images and video.

15. PBwiki - a wiki tool  -  Tool  |  How to
    Another collaborative tool; this one for setting up editable websites.  Wikipedia is, of course, the best example of how to use a wiki and develop content collaboratively with your users.  But a wiki tool can be used for many different collaborative purposes.

16. PollDaddy - a polling tool  -  Tool  |  How to
    Want to get some quick feedback from your people?  Set up a poll, embed the poll widget in your blog or website and then track responses on the PollDaddy site.

17. Nvu - a web authoring tool  -  Tool  |  How to
    Although blogging tools are the quickest way to get a web presence, you may want to create a website that is not structured chronologically.  Nvu is a versatile new tool to let you do that.

18. Yugma - a web meeting tool  -  Tool  |  How to
    For small meetings of up to 10 meetings, Yugma is free.  You can whiteboard, annotate and share files.  You can even use Skype to connect.

19. Ustream - a live broadcasting tool  -  Tool  |  How to
    Probably The Next Big Thing - live interactive video broadcasting to a global audience.  All it takes is a camera and an internet connection.

    You may already belong to a public social network like Facebook, but Ning lets you create and customise a private network for a group of like-minded people, large or small.

21. Freemind - a mind mapping tool  -  Tool  |  How to
    For organising your thoughts or just brainstorming.

    Run it on your PC to try it out and see its potential!  You might then consider using it to host a complete course or program or simply to provide the user authentication mechanism to access training materials.  If you can't install it in-house then there are low-cost hosting solutions available.

23. eXe - a course authoring tool  -  Tool  |  How to
    A tool to create SCORM-compliant training material  that doesn't require you to be proficient in HTML or XML markup.  It works within Moodle too, of course.

24. iGoole - a personal start page tool  -  Tool  |  How to
    Aggregate all your resources, mail, RSS feeds, videos, in one place.

25. And finally, twitter - a microblogging tool -  Tool  |  How to
    Probably not for everyone, but if you want to stay in touch with people no matter where you are or what youe doing, then Twitter's for you!

　　『企業級即時通信軟件的出現最直接的誘因是個人即時通信軟件本身的不足，個人即時通信軟件越是普及，這些不足就暴露得越明顯。』北京點擊科技有限公司(以下稱點擊科技)副總裁張利在接受記者採訪時說。

　　因協同軟件而知名的點擊科技很早就開始涉足即時通信軟件，早期重點放在個人即時通信軟件上，從2006年起看到了企業級通信軟件的潛在市場，開始進軍這個市場，並推出了企業級即時通信軟件產品競開通訊之星(GK-Express)。

　　據張利介紹，個人即時通信軟件不足主要體現在安全性和可管理性上，而企業級即時通信產品據此做了針對性的改進。比如，EIM通常是專門為企業定制的，在部署時可以為每個員工規定一個即時通信號碼。這些號碼有的可以對外溝通，有的號碼不可以。如果要變更，管理員只要在管理伺服器上進行一個簡單的設置就可以了。而且，企業即時通信軟件通常對溝通的內容是可以進行記錄和審計的，以備需要時追溯，這一功能對於那些對保密和審計有特殊需求的企業而言非常關鍵。

　　EIM的可管理性還體現在，企業部署EIM時可以按照公司的組織架構定制通信名單，這樣公司內部的員工可以很容易地根據公司組織架構在這個名單中找到需要聯繫的人，從而大大方便跨部門的溝通和協作。該名單還可以隨著人員變動(比如員工離職或者有新人加入)而自動更新，這些特性對於那些較大規模、跨部門溝通非常頻繁的公司非常有用。

　　EIM除了上述特徵之外的另一個更重要的特徵是，可以與企業的其他應用進行融合。這種融合類似於Hotmail與MSN、淘寶旺旺和淘寶網之間的集成。實際上，將應用系統和即時通信整合起來然後通過EIM來建設統一門戶，既有助於引導更多的員工來使用，從而發揮出產品的最大價值，同時，也讓應用變得更方便了，還會降低被集成的其他業務系統的教育和培訓成本，因為EIM員工本來就會使用。

　　『在企業中，基於即時通信軟件可以集成各種業務應用系統。』張利說，『點擊科技的GK Express已經做了這方面的嘗試，比如GK Express就已經實現了與多家合作伙伴的OA進行集成。』

　　張利預計，未來即時通信軟件很可能會成為統一通信的一個整合平台。

　　市場爭奪戰已經打響

　　儘管相對於個人IM市場，企業級IM才起步，但目前包括IBM、微軟等軟件巨頭以及中國的騰訊、點擊科技等公司都十分看好這個市場，不斷對產品更新升級，以搶占這個新興的市場。去年下半年，騰訊率先對其企業級通信軟件RTX進行了升級，9月IBM包含了最新Lotus Sametime的企業協作平台Lotus Notes/Domino 8(ND8)問世。去年年底，點擊科技也將其新一代企業綜合通訊平台GK-Express 升級到3.2版。有消息稱，新版微軟LCS將在2008年一季度亮相。看得出，一場對企業級IM市場的爭奪戰已經悄悄打響。

綜觀目前EIM市場中競爭的廠商大致可以分為以下三種類型:

　　1.IBM和微軟等軟件巨頭。其優勢在於產品成熟，品牌強勢; 劣勢在於價格較高，對國內用戶的需求回應慢，產品在部署上比較複雜，往往和其他產品有緊密關聯，如微軟LCS和Exchange Server 2003的緊密捆綁。

　　2.以點擊科技和騰訊RTX為代表的國產軟件企業。它們的產品結合國內客戶需求開發，產品比較成熟，有一定的品牌知名度，主要市場策略是和其他管理軟件廠商合作。

　　3.眾多創業性的小公司。其產品成熟度不高，市場影響力不大，優勢是靈活性強。

　　另外，以阿里旺旺為代表的商用IM，未來也有可能發展成企業IM。只是目前其功能主要圍繞在線交易構建，針對企業需求的可管理性還可以改善。

　　不過，這種百花爭艷、群雄割據的競爭格局也給EIM帶來了一個隱患，那就是互聯互通。由於缺乏統一的標準，不同的企業如果安裝的EIM不同，往往無法相互通信，這一點與個人即時通信產品的狀況有些類似。目前，EIM供應商也注意到這類問題，比如，通過在點擊科技的產品中加入插u韝w可以與QQ、MSN互發消息。不過，這個問題的最終解決還得有標準才行。

　　哪些企業應該考慮部署EIM

　　現在，企業級即時通信軟件還算是新生事物，對大多數企業來說還處於認識和了解階段，但是，已經有一些企業率先嘗試EIM。那麼，哪些企業應該部署EIM呢？

　　據北京點擊科技有限公司副總裁張利介紹，EIM總體上來說v瘛~性並不明顯，如果企業具有以下特徵可以考慮部署EIM:

　　1.分支機構多，企業員工分散，或者說跨部門、跨地域、異地辦公、移動辦公特徵明顯，溝通成本較高。

　　2.資訊化建設已達到一定水平、構建了一些業務系統的大型企業和政府單位，適合用EIM來構建統一門戶或者說統一消息管理平台。

　　3.銀行、金融、保險等各類對溝通和交流要求較多的公司，或者有管理大量流動性較強、工作時間和場所等不太固定的業務員的需求。

　　4.文件分發頻繁的媒體、廣告公司等。

　　據了解，在一些對安全性和管理要求較高的政府部門和私營、民營企業已經開始考慮和選購EIM了。張利建議在選擇一款EIM應該特別注意以下問題:

　　1.企業即時通信產品首先要符合企業應用的特點，如能滿z洛禶~對安全性、可管理、可控制性等的要求。

　　2.作為一個成熟與完善的企業即時通信產品，要達到主流或者說v釆籅漣Y時通信產品的品質，包括大規模使用時的穩定性，支援文本、語音、視頻等各種通信的能力，具有IM平台的特性。

　　3.與業務系統的良好融合和整合能力，即承擔企業統一消息平台的能力(這需要和管理軟件廠商建立起一個廣泛的合作聯盟)。同時，要有融合各種通信方式的能力，作為一個融合通信平台，這也包括與其他IM的互通能力。

　　4.要有良好的平台化思想和設計，體現出良好的開放性和可擴展性特徵，具有豐富和標準化的介面，並要對外開放API介面。

　　另外，張利特別提醒說，企業在部署EIM前一定要讓員做好思想準備。由於EIM帶有管理和控制的特徵，因此可能會讓員工覺得有束縛感而抵觸。

　　『與其他的困難相比，員工的使用習慣才是最大的障礙。一旦員工養成了使用EIM的習慣，並逐漸把EIM當成了第一桌面，EIM的方便和快捷就會釋放出來。不過，說z鴝部AEIM到底能起多大的作用很大程度上取決于企業的管理文化如何、執行力到底有多強。』張利總結說。
