雪蟹--May 30

前1-2個月聽到研究室的J招兵買馬,提議要去吃雪蟹Snow Crab, 可是我都不太有心情吃大餐!

這幾天氣候冷颼颼地,友人提議吃雪蟹,正是時候!

好疑惑, 雖然這是從北美進口來柏斯的嬌客,不是說秋天才是吃蟹的好季節嗎?恰巧有個冠冕堂皇的理由,就這麼地約好.....吃蟹去吧!

零食袋

澳洲跟歐洲一樣,經濟艙的託運行李,基本上都是20kg, 手提行李7kg為限

為了多帶一點台灣的食物,已經到了斤斤計較,走火入魔的境界.

不消幾個月,小豬家搬運的功力猛增,已經進升到pro級,秘密武器就是這些零食袋(約NT$ 100/pc)

這樣又可以多攜帶一些輕便卻很佔體積的拋貨(如零食,衣物等)!

當歸牛肉湯

天氣開始冷颼颼,每到晚上總想喝個熱湯, 讓身體暖和起來!

好幾週前,Pao 關心我跟童子軍,特地分了一份高級的菲力牛肉給我,順便教導我3種方式去料理它!

1. 煎牛排吃...想到我還要弄sauce...備感壓力(頭疼)

2. 當火鍋肉吃....麻煩的是要趁半冷凍時,切成一片片,

3. 煮當歸薑湯

雖然這塊肉煮湯好像有點暴軫天物....可惜高級食材落入我手中....只好任憑我處置!

Tasmania 之旅 (一)

Huei-Chun 見我們熱烈討論龍蝦之際,乾脆提供一些天然美食讓我們聞香!

以下英文是她寫的旅遊介紹...中文則是我的旁白....(哇勒....一山還有一山高...我們大夥集資去買樂透算啦! 萬一真的中獎,吃喝玩樂的資本就有了!)

The pictures taken in Port Arthur, Tasmania in January 2005.

We (2 families) flew to Tasmania and spent 2 weeks there.

It's an unforgettable trip. Tasmania is quite different from Australia.

It's more like New Zealand, clean, fresh and unpolluted. (NZ 是羊比人多的地方, Tasmania 是鮭魚,龍蝦,生蠔比人多的地方)

It's a very quiet place and all the stores are closed at 5.

We lived in a self-contained cabin (澳洲真的很流行煮飯團).

The lobsters and oysters were bought in a container car.

They were very fresh and, of course the lobsters were already cooked(龍蝦已經煮好的...超棒)

(咦....那...那...生蠔是不是也已經打開好呢?)

I don't remember how much they are. (這個最重要的部份,居然....忘記了...很好奇...到底貴不貴呢?)

煮熟的甜蝦

好久沒吃到煮熟的甜蝦(Cooked Prawn) 1 kg A$ 13.00 甜美的鮮滋味,值得介紹一下, 明天是最後一天促銷價,要買要快啊~~~
沾醬: 可用吃生魚片的芥末醬 或是自己調拌...醬油,麻油,香菜,辣椒 (如下圖)

超貴的日本料理

第一次感覺這家"日本料亭"貴到離譜!

瞧瞧這幾道菜是屬於一人一份的套餐,分量少不說,樣式與味道又實在很普通, 這樣的晚餐,你猜結帳每人的費用如何?

聽說當晚某氏說:每人澳幣50元/1 set....還是老闆友情價! (因為沒有親眼看到帳單,保有存疑之心,所以不公佈店名與住址)

生魚片與壽司(我挺疑惑的廚房師傅,真的是老字號好功夫的日本料亭師傅嗎? 反正這家的菜色被我唸到臭頭,想我從小愛吃日本料理.....算了,騙騙老外ok啦!)
