下星期要參加國際英語演講協會的演講比賽,演講稿寫的零零落落,所以利用這個部落格來徵求一下各方的改進建議,麻煩有興趣的人就幫忙看看稿子並提供一點意見,不管是文法錯誤或是用字遣辭都非常需要修改,同時也歡迎提供有趣的內容讓我加進去,拜託拜託囉!尤其是結尾的地方特別想修改,感覺怪怪的.文中提到的產品Daniel就是我,那是不辣哥的英文名字.
以下就是講稿內容,演講題目是4P,又臭又長,請多多指教:

Good evening, Toastmasters!
Have you ever purchased something you don’t really need? Come on! What are you wearing now? Why did you make those regrettable decisions?
Today, I am not going to save you from your bad shopping habit. For that, you need to see a psychologist. As a marketer, I can only give you some tips about how to sell something. Marketing plans are very useful even you are not a salesperson. Everyone has something to sell. In our life, we sell homework to teachers, excuses to parents, and speeches to judges.
For clear understanding, I bring a product for demonstration. The product is Daniel. Please don’t misspell it as Denial. First tip: don’t ever use a negative word to name your product. I will use the concept of 4P’s to show you how marketers operate on a product like Daniel.
4P’s are the basic elements of marketing plan in any business. By understanding these 4P’s, you know 80% of marketing already. 4P’s are Product, Price, Place, and Promotion. Let’s start with Product first. A product can be a physical entity or a service. For a product like Daniel, it can be both. There are many ways to make a product more valuable. Due to time constraint, I will just mention two of them- certificates and packaging. Certificates such as MBA degree in marketing, CTM to be, and a BMW key are all very useful. Try to get as many certificates as possible for your products. As for package, this word is from pack and age. For example, I just packed this aged and chubby Daniel in a nice covering suit.
Price is not only about money. A product like Daniel cannot be bought just by money, at least not for a small amount. Price can be a combination of money, time, or service. Moreover, you need to think about opportunity cost. When you get a product like Daniel, you cannot possess David or Michael at the same time. Pricing is really an art. If you set the price too high, you lose your customers. On the other hand, if you set the price too low, then you lose profits. It is all about demand and supply. Oh! You just learned 80% of Economics.
One good strategy is to set the price low and get it sold first. After that, you gain profit from upgrading, repairing, just like what software or printer companies did to us.
Place is where you display your products such as supermarket, the Internet, or organizations. It is very important to define your target audiences first and go to the places where they are. For instance, potential buyers of Daniel are beautiful and talented girls. In that case, Toastmaster club is undisputed the best place to go. However, there are some excellent rivals here, especially among our judges. Anyway, I believe competitions will make it a virtuous circle in Toastmaster Club.
Promotion is the most interesting one among these 4P’s. It is flexible and creative. The only limitation is your imagination and conscience. Marketers use promotions to make people lose their mind temporarily. For example, there are always some sexy girls in a car show who understand nothing about cars. But people still purchase those cars because they think they can also win those girls’ heart. This sounds ridiculous, but happens everyday. By the way, I got my BMW in a car show. Anyway, every time when you think you find a great deal, think again. There is no free lunch. Oh! I just gave you another 20% of Economics. Again, there is no free lunch, but you can always find a cheaper one.
I believe that you get a clear picture about how marketing plan works by now. 消脂減重大作戰
今天去插花老師家拜年吃飯,想不到遭受到Jimmy全套裝備的無情打擊,在他帶來的尖端科技之下,不健康的身體各項指數一一無法遁形,尤其是測量完體脂後,真的是身心受到重創,在過年期間的狂吃之下,體重創下歷史新高,而體脂的部份也是相當高。
而最令人難過的一項指數是我的身體狀況年齡居然已經高達47歲,根本就是一個歐吉桑呀!決定從今天開始就力行減肥計畫,要效法幸福六號巴士模範乘客南部硬梆梆的精神,我一定也可以甩掉幾斤肥肉的!

puki, puki
再過幾天就是美式足球超級盃的大日子,同時也是廣告行銷業界相當重要的一天,超級盃的廣告一秒鐘就要台幣兩三百萬,有本事在這個時段撥廣告的企業主可是隨便都要花上好幾億,而當然這些廣告肯定也都是嘔心瀝血之作,許許多多的經典廣告都是在超級盃當天首播,只可惜台灣只轉播球賽而把廣告換掉,不然有時候看超級盃的廣告可是比看球賽還精采呢!沒看過的人建議去下面這個網站逛一逛。

提到這裡,就忍不住抱怨一下台灣的廣告,雖然廣告界很難混而且預算又少,但是常常搞出的一些廣告也真的太爛,尤其是那些賣藥的廣告,還真是歷經數十載也毫無進步,而最近讓我很感冒的是一個相當豬頭的廣告,主角就是一個叫puki的豬頭,第一次看到還真的是嚇到,由於廣告打的還滿兇的,顯然也花了不少錢,後來忍不住稍微分析一下,截至目前還是搞不清楚這個廣告的理念和設計,所以寫出來抱怨一下,看能不能收到一些各方的意見和指引,再這樣想下去,我可能也會變豬頭。
首先是puki這個腳色,我不知道自己的美感是不是有問題,但我覺得看過這麼多種卡通豬造型,還真的沒看過這樣不可愛的,一方面因為動畫技術的關係,感覺身體的每個部份是分離的,活動起來相當不自然,光影的部份也怪怪,而且拿來當銀行的吉祥物,會讓人覺得那個銀行很多主管都是豬頭吧?這種動物應該給餐飲業和特種行業比較合適。
再來是歌曲的部份,這個部分我可以肯定是真的很糟,旋律的部份一點特色都沒有,而且還相當難聽和走音,歌不像歌口白不像口白的,puki的聲音就是笨笨的,不知道是說投資人笨還是行員笨,後面一堆小朋友的合音亂糟糟,而且感受不到童音的可愛。
總之這首歌真的很糟,之前雖然很討厭QOO的歌,因為實在是聽的很煩,但是那首歌還真是有效,旋律和音質都非常有特色,也為可口可樂集團撈進大把銀子,可口可樂還真是滿厲害的,三不五時就會推出一隻小動物和歌曲,賣的飲料通常都很難喝,可是就是能夠大賣一陣,這方面也再次證明行銷的威力,希望各公司多多幫行銷人加薪加預算。比較起來,這首puki雖然也是讓人印象深刻,但是對我來說我是很清楚的記得這家銀行拍了一個爛廣告,這不光是個人的意見,也透過MSN取得幾位網友的意見,目前一面倒覺得這個廣告很白痴。
轉念一想,可能這個廣告鎖定的客戶是小朋友,因為以這種歌曲和廣告水準可能只有小朋友會喜歡,這方面昨天也問了來訪的分別為4,9,12歲的表弟妹,同樣也是對puki這個腳色沒好感,而且就算真的會有小孩喜歡puki,我實在很難相信會有小朋友吵著要把自己的紅包指名存給puki,而就算小孩子會吵,爸媽還真的去該銀行開戶的機率也是低到可以,這樣的廣告側有點令人費解。
總而言之,真的覺得這個廣告很糟,有點東抄西抄搞得四不像,而且把主要顧客設定為兒童還真的難以理解,也許是期望這些小朋友長大賺錢後會想起這隻puki,不過我還真不認為有哪種吉祥物可以在台灣的廣告界存活那樣久,十年後如果真的有人還記得puki,應該也是個笑柄吧?
這隻puki肥肥的有個圓肚皮,這樣我反而更不想餵牠,如果把牠搞的營養不良,或許可以吸收點同情票,在台灣搞悲情訴求向來都非常有效,或許廣告商可以考慮看看。很難得寫這樣負面的評論,不過我也相當樂意接受負面的評論,如果我有誤會puki的地方或是其他的不當抱怨,歡迎大家提出,我一定會虛心求教而且有錯必改。
