1/18 "It Is the Lord!"
"Thomas answered and said to Him, My Lord and my God!"
The Goal of the call for God is His satisfaction, not simply we should do something for Him.We are not sent to do battle for God, but to be used by God in His battles. Are we more devoted to service than we are to Jesus Christ Himself?

1/19 Vision and Darkness
Those years of silence were a time of discipline, not a period of God's displeasure. There is never any need to pretend that your life is filled with joy and confidence; just wait upon God and be grounded in Him (see Isaia 50:10-11)
...have I placed my confidence in God, not in His blessings?

1/27 Look Again and Think
"Do not worry about your life..."
If the front line of attack is not about clothes and food,i t may be about...friends and lack of friends...It is one steady invasion, and these things will come in like a flood, until we allow the banner of God to raise against it.
...Our Lord says to be careful only about only one thhg ── our relationship to Him.
...Jesus tells us not to worry about any of these things. Look again and think. Keep your mind on the "much more" of your heavenly Father (Matthew 6:30).

3/19 Abraham's Life of Faith
A life of faith is not a life of one glorious mountaintop experience after another, like soaring on eagles' wings, but is a life of day-in and day-out consistency; a life of walking without fainting (see Isaiah 40:31). It is not even a question of the holiness of sanctification, but of something which comes much farther down the road.

3/23 Am I carnally minded?
If the Spirit of God detects anything in you that is wrong, He doesn't ask you to make it right; He only asks you to accept the light of truth, and then He will make it right. A child of the light will confess sin instantly and stand completely open before God.

3/25 Maintaining the Proper Relationship
...we have to be more careful to have the moral and vital relationship with Him above everything else, including obedience. Sometimes there is nothing to obey and our only task is to maintain a vital connection with Jesus Christ, seeing that nothing interferes with it.

4/10 Complete and Effective Decision About Sin
"Lord, identify me with your death until I know that sin is dead in me."

3/18 Will I Bring Myself Up to This Level?
I claim God's promises for my life and look to their fulfillment, and rightly so, but that shows only the human perspective of it. God's perspective is that through His promises I will come to recognize His ownership on me. For example, do I realize that my "body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit", or am I condoning some habit in my body which clearly could not withstand the light of God on it? ...I must begin to transform my natural life into spiritual life by obedience to Him.

4/14 Inner Invincibility
The burden that God places on us squeezes the grapes in our lives and produces the wine, but most of us see only the wine and not the burden. ... If your life is producing only a whine, instead of the wine, ruthlessly kick it out.

3/8 The Surrendered Life
What our Lord wants us to present to Him is not our goodness, honesty, or our efforts to do better, but real solid sin. ...We must surrender all our pretense that we are anything, and give up all our claims of even being worthy of God's consideration. ...When people really see themselves as the Lord sees them, it is not the terribly offensive sins that shock them, but the awful nature of the pride of their own hearts opposing Jesus Christ. ...If you are faced with the question of whether or not to surrender, make a determination to go on through the crisis, surrendering all that you have and all that you are to Him. And God will then equip you to do all that He requires of you.

2/16
God does not give us overcoming life ── He gives us life as we overcome.

2/17
If human beings were not capable of depression, we would have no capacity for happiness and exaltation.

2/18
...Jesus comes and lovingly says to us, in essence, "Sleep on now. That opportunity is lost forever and you can't change that. But get up, and let's go on to the next thing." In other words, let the past sleep, but let it sleep in the sweet embrace of Christ, and let us go on into the invincible future with Him. ...Never let the sense of past failure defeat your next step.

2/25
The real test of a saint is not one's willingness to preach the gospel, but one's willingness to do something like washing the disciple's feet ── that is, being willing to do those things that seem unimportant in human estimation but count as everything to God.

1/9 Are You Exhausted Spiritually?
Have you delivered yourself over to exhaustion because of the way you have been serving God? If so, then renew and rekindle your desires and affections. Examine your reasons for service. Is your source based on your own understanding or is it grounded on the redemption of Jesus Christ? Continually look back to your love and affection and remember where your Source of power lies.

1/10 Is Your Ability To See God Blinded?
If we are children of God, we have a tremendous treasure in nature and will realize that it (your ability to see God) is holy and sacred. We will see God reaching out to us in every wind that blows, every sunrise and sunset, every cloud in the sky, every flower that blooms, and every leaf that fades, if we will only begin to use our blinded thinking to visualize it.

1/11 Is Your Mind Stayed On God?
If you have never used your mind to place yourself before God, begin to do it now. ...Your mind is the greatest gift God has given you and it ought to be devoted entirely to Him. ...This will be one of the greatest assets of your faith when a time of trial comes, because then your faith and the Spirit of God will work together. When you have thoughts and ideas that are worthy of credit to God, learn to compare and associate them with all that happens in nature ── the rising and the setting of the sun, the shining of the moon and the stars, and the changing of the seasons. You will begin to see that your thoughts are from God as well, and your mind will no longer be at the mercy of your impulsive thinking, but will always be used int service to God.
To laugh like a brook when it trips and falls over stones on its way.)

1/14 The Discipline Of Hearing
...darkness is the time to listen. Don't talk to other people about it; don't read books to find out the reason for the darkness; just listen and obey.

2/6 Are Yoy Ready To Be Poured Out As An Offering?
Are you ready to be poured out as an offering? It is an act of your will, not your emotions. Tell God tou are ready to be offered as a sacrifice for Him. Then accept the consequences as they come, without any complaints, in spite of what God may send. God sends you through a crisis in private, where no other person can help you...If you don't deal with God on the level of your will first, the result will be only to arouse sympathy for yourself....you must be willing to be placed on the altar and go through the fire; willing to experience what the altar represents ── burning, purification, and separation for only one purpose ── the elimination of every desire and affection not grounded in or directed toward God...You "bind the sacrifice...to the horns of the altar" and see to it that you don't wallow in self-pity once the fire begins. After you have gone throught the fire, there will be nothing that will be able to trouble or depress you. When another crisis arises, you will realize that things cannot touch you as they used to. What fire lies ahead in your life?...

1/7 Spiritual Dejection
We look for visions from heaven and for earth-shaking events to see God's power. Even the fact that we are dejected is proof that we do this. Yet we never realize that all the time God is at work in our everyday events and in the people around us. If we will only obey, and do the task that He has placed closest to us, we will see Him. One of the most amazing revelations of God comes to us when we learn that it is in the everyday things of life that we realize the magnificent deity of Jesus Christ.

Things to Be Remembered

~Hapiru,〈

If God has made your cup sweet, drink it with grace; or even if He has made it bitter, drink it in communion with Him. If the providential will of God means a hard and difficult time for you, go through it.
~Oswald Chambers,《

I now rejoice in my sufferings...and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ.
