Kelli Connell:

When I met Kelli Connell's work through my eyes for the first time, I am stunned. She creates a great, dreamy world. It reminds me of many deja-vu scenes. It's hard to describe by using words but shoot pictures.

A tragic and beautiful story
◎ Angra - No Pain For The Dead
This is one of saddest melodies and lyrics in my heart. I think it would be a good introdution for this diary. Today my friend gave me a link that tells a beautiful story about someone's wandering and photography.
Volumn I
Volumn II
The leading role is a legendary man. He traveled to Germany with his camera and shot large amount of photos. It looks very nice. We always consider the age greater, the wish smaller. He makes a strong explanation.

Anthony Suau... and his M6
Anthony Suau, winner of "World Press Photo" this year, talked about his recent travels in this video made by Leica. I'm very amazed that he takes Leica M6 for work in this digital age. The winner photo represents economic war. That's hitting problem that came to our world last year.

Wim Wenders Calendar

Wim Wenders is a German director, author, and photographer. He brought his camera to movie work and shot somes images for CARL ZEISS. It looks like Wenders has not passed through digital revolution in his life or work. (But he used M8 last year?) The calendar is below link . 24 photos inside. It says that "24 frames are 1 second in a film, and 24 frames are 1 year in the calendar." The photos are very nice shot moment and color tone. The title name is "Tomorrow Morning". I have no idea that it was his classic or just special case.

Magnum Photos and Leica spirit

▲ Mr. Chang's work "Escape from North Korea" published on "National Geographic Magazine" Feb. 2009.
I met a member of Magnum Photos this week. The man is Mr. Chien-Chi Chang, a international professional photojournalist. He came to visit our General Manager, V, on the day before yesterday. V introduced Mr. Chang to me. I felt excited. I've never thought I have chance to contact Magnum Photos, world's No.1 photo agency, before. It's well-known that every member of Magnum Photos has unique wonderful legendary story, like heroes of photography Henri Cartier-Bresson and Robert Capa.
Mr. Chang brought his lastest works to us. As above, "Escape from North Korea" is one of his works. The topic is published on "National Geographic Magazine" Feb. 2009 (國家地理雜誌二月號、英文版與國際中文版同步刊載). This documentary photo gallery is very deep thought. The story tells how people illegally get access from North Korea to South Korea.
Words by Tom O'Neill. Here is the full article. And here is Mr. Chang's photo gallery.
Mr. Chang shared his experience. According to some interviews by other media. He used Leica M6 and Summicron 35/2. "Film is very charming." he said.
