第4站：Niederbipp - La Chaux-de-Fonds，151公里

此站中途最長的爬坡為75公里處的Mont Soleil(1248m)，但此處只設為衝刺搶分點，稍後才有2個3級的登山搶分點。在Mont Soleil一度出現包括Jan Ullrich在內等十多位好手組成的領先集團，其中Marco Fertonani(Caisse d'Epargne)更在後段發動攻勢，並與Rik Verbrugghe(Cofidis)等人形成新的領先集團，但仍於終點前16公里被主集團追上。

終點前6公里David Herrero(Euskaltel-Euskadi)和Angel Vicioso(Würth)又衝出領先，在最後1公里時他們仍維持13秒的領先優勢，雖然主集團拼命追趕，卻來不及追上，衝刺能力較佳的Vicioso率先通過終點贏得勝利，十多公尺後的主集團則是由Daniele Bennati領先衝線，擴大他在積分榜的領先優勢。

第5站：La Chaux-de-Fonds - Leukerbad，210公里

中此站開始進入山岳站，雖然途中有一些山丘，但都未被設為登山搶分點。進入最後20公里則先是4級的Varen(760m)，以及設在終點(1376m)前1.8公里的1級登山點Leukerbad(1306m)。Steve Morabito(Phonak)、Jürgen van Goolen(Discovery Channel)等6人在50公里處形成領先集團，至100公里處即已領先12鐘進入最後的爬坡時，Morabito和van Goolen逐漸甩開同伴，並努力維持領先不被後方殺上來的主集團追上，進入最後3公里時，兩人仍保有1分多的領先。

在登山點前Alberto Contador(Würth)等人發動功勢試圖追上領先者，但未能成功。Morabito在最後150公尺加速衝出，氣力耗盡的Van Goolen只能眼看著對手歡喜獲勝，還差點被後面衝上來的Vicios追上。不過還成功保住第2。

Vicios前站第1，這站第3，使他暫時居總成績榜領先。不過各家主力車手目前的差距都不大，接下來幾站都仍是關鍵，而緊接的第6站即可能讓總成績榜大洗牌。
