就在赫拉巴爾那個廢紙回收工廠的角落，發現一疊紙，勉強釘成一本。但紙張狀況不佳，氾黃且脆裂，有些字更已經糊去難以辨視。不過經諾貝爾文學獎評審人士的考證後，意外查覺這並非赫拉巴爾的作品，而是他於[我曾侍奉過英國國王]中提及的同輩作家—艾莫薴柱，至今唯一流傳的作品。本刊獨家取得原文並重金邀請東歐語專家歐耶翻譯，讓國內讀者先賭為快。
