1982年Madonna在同名專輯中(這不是她的首張專輯)初試啼聲

Holiday，Lucky Star，Borderline雖說上她小有名氣

但是確沒有一首歌曲讓她的性格與角色更鮮明地烙印在聽眾的印象中

於是這一張專輯簡直就成了娜姐歌唱生涯中千面女郎角色扮演的濫觴

這首歌曲除了大膽而直接揭示了年輕女孩赤裸裸又毫不掩飾地對於拜金心態的描寫

更徹底粉碎了愛情無上的神話

雖然刺耳

想想....哪一個愛情浪漫喜劇不是在中上階層的環境中上演

近乎於嘲諷的文字

爭議性的話題

果然讓Madonna成功地打亮了自己的知名度

這首單曲是這張專輯裡推出的第二支

若要說讓這"Material Girl"成為娜姐早期留給大家深刻印象的單曲

這首歌的MV可是扮演著關鍵性的角色

MV中Madonna從Marilyn Monroe的"Diamond Is Girl's Best Friend"的歌舞片段"借取"靈感

扮演著性感嫵媚又拜金的時尚女郎

50年代的復古中帶著80年代語不驚人死不休的辛辣話題

從此以後"拜金女郎"的名號一直成了年輕時期娜姐的經典形象






















當然

娜姐的一砲而紅可要好好謝謝MTV乍紅所帶來的益處

不過事過多年後

娜姐在潛心修行心靈成長與宗教信仰後曾表示後悔唱了這首歌

讓大家有了錯誤的示範

姑且不論是否在成名後得了便宜賣乖的言論

無損與我們對這首歌的深刻印象與喜愛

愛情與麵包哪一個重要


對我來說

只能說我要一個有品質的愛情吧
