這是蘇芮在1987年5月在飛碟(現華納)唱片發行的英文專輯的第一主打歌

其實這不算是蘇芮的首張英文專輯

事實上她在80年代初期曾以Julie的英文名字在東南亞一帶出過英文專輯

只是聲勢與銷售量沒有她的姐妹淘黃鶯鶯來得好

這也讓她沉寂了好久直到1983年才以"一樣的月光"一砲而紅

整整晚了黃鶯鶯近十年才嘗到走紅滋味



今天不是要專門介紹這張英文專輯

而是每個人聽到這首歌的直接反應也許會跟我一樣

咦~~~???這不是國語歌嗎

再仔細一想

這是羅大佑寫給阿潘的"野百合也有春天"嘛!!!

怎搖身一變成了一首英文歌曲

而且詞曲不論中英文都是羅大佑一首包辦

沒錯

你們可以把這首Chages視為"野百合也有春天"的英文版


蘇芮唱過羅大佑的詞曲作品有兩首

但都是另有他人唱過

"是否"的首唱是張艾嘉

但是沒有蘇芮版的那一段慷慨激昂的副歌

張艾嘉平直的聲線只能重複著前面這部份的旋律

但是唱紅"是否"的

卻是蘇芮


1983年潘越雲的"胭脂北投"中收錄了首度與大佑合作的"野百合也有春天"

也是當年電影"野雀高飛"的主題曲

這首歌走紅的程度也成了阿潘的代表作之一

更是後輩歌手競相翻唱的歌曲

但是聽來聽去還是阿潘版最得我心

不過有此一說是這樣的

這首歌的第一次創作是英文版的Chages

是當年羅大佑為蘇芮的歌聲特色量身訂作的歌曲

後來阿潘的製作人李壽全相中這首歌

才又填入中文詞的"野百合也有春天"

不管這樣的說法是否為真

就像是蘇芮的一樣的月光差點是阿潘的另一首歌曲一樣

她們各自用心為同樣的曲調創造出不同的靈魂

也各自唱出屬於自己的一番天地

對於聽眾而言

不也是一件好事
