這是一首令人傷懷的對唱情歌

敘述著分手的男女情侶互訴著對彼此的怨懟與些許的不捨

最後以落寞的分居收場

聽來格外的傷感

寫這首歌曲的Stephen Bishop當時就真的跟女友分手

將其不平的怨懟與難過都寫入了歌中

更背的是

當時1982年本要配合一部劇情描述一位蘇聯的芭蕾舞者逃離鐵幕的電影作為主題曲

但是卻乏人問津


直到1985年

這部電影才拍好上映

而主唱也由原來的創作者Stephen Bishop改為當紅的Phil Collins 與 Marylin Martin對唱

隨著女聲的加入

讓這首歌從單方面的自怨自艾轉為雙方不滿情緒的互訴

增加了不少情緒的張力

這部電影原聲帶除了先前Lionel Ritchie所唱的"Say You，Say Me"不僅奪得了當年度奧斯卡金像獎最佳電影主題曲與Billboard冠軍之外

這首歌也在1985年12月拿下了冠軍

成了這部電影的第二首冠軍

後來我買到了Stephen Bishop的精選輯才知道這首歌是他的原創

否則我還真的以為是Phil Collins 所做的歌曲

(不過看到這封面，還真的很神似國內另一個創作型歌手周傳雄呢~~~!!)
