傳說中

航行在狂風閃電下著傾盆大雨的惡海之上

水手們會看到船隻桅桿頂端之類的尖狀物上，產生如火燄般的藍白色閃光

就像是守護聖人聖艾爾摩顯靈保佑

指引身入險境手足無措的水手們能平安地歷險歸來

這就是St. Elmo's Fire的由來



但是在這裡

我不是要告訴你一則傳說

也不是在闡述一個自然現象的探討

而是一部電影

這是一部1985年的電影

比利（羅伯洛）是個老是在換工作的薩克斯風手，他一直希望老婆孩子能回到他身邊

溫蒂（梅兒溫寧漢）是個富家女，母親老愛拿她完美的姊姊和她相比，她卻寧願一直待在比利身邊

柯比（艾米里埃斯特維）迷戀著曾經和他約過會的黛兒（安蒂麥道威爾）

茱兒（黛咪摩爾）老是碰上接連不斷的麻煩

亞歷（裘德尼爾森）想跟萊絲莉（艾莉喜迪）結婚，但卻忍不住頻頻偷腥

凱文（安德魯麥卡西）一直暗戀萊絲莉

但她卻誤以為他是同性戀

雖不是什麼可歌可泣的偉大故事

但卻能反映出80年代中期20多歲年輕人會面對的一切

圍繞他們的家庭，朋友，愛情，生活，工作，困境與勇氣

平易近人

不唱高調

只為了告訴我們屬於年輕人的那把指引著我們的St. Elmo's Fire

是這部片的特點

也是當年ya世代青春勵志電影的必看好片



值得一提的是

這些80年代掘起的新生代演員

當時被稱為（Brad Pack）新鼠幫成員

後來在90年代也有著亮麗的成績

像是片中的黛咪摩爾

你可以在片中看到不同於後期那種飄逸長髮清麗的形象

這是另一個附加收獲



為了營造出青春有朝氣的感覺

整張電影原聲帶找來了當時剛竄紅的新生代王牌製作人David Foster

提到此號人物

你一定會想起他在80-90年代西洋流行樂壇所創下的豐功偉業

在1982年跟1984年製作Chicago樂團"16"與"17"兩張專輯創下佳績之後

他在1983年開始也投入的電影配樂的製作

除了1983年的"Two Of Kind"(兩情相悅)之外

1985年的夏天這張電影原聲帶

由他獨挑大樑

為電影創作了許多好歌

也找來了當時的歌手，樂團共襄盛舉

一起合作

整張原聲帶中大量地使用弦樂與鋼琴交織的編曲

營造出充滿朝氣與活力的氣息

也多了一份屬於都會現代感的氣質
