我們對Peter Cetera的印象一直以來都停留在芝加哥合唱團的吉他手兼主唱

1967年芝加哥合唱團成軍開始

始終沒見過他在任何一張專輯中缺席

1984年的第17張專輯

首支單曲Glory Of Love是"小子難纏"的電影主題曲

由老搭擋David Foster的合作

維持著一貫的明亮而柔和的曲風

又不失朝氣的歌曲

讓他的單飛之路有了成功的開始

這首歌也在1987年獲得奧斯卡金像獎最佳電影主題曲的提名

也成了他最耳熟能詳的代表作

1988年的秋天帶來了第二張個人專輯"One More Story"

曲風轉為較內斂的作風

雖沒有第一張的成績亮眼

但也有One Good Woman這樣耐聽的好歌'出現



盛產男女對唱情歌的80年代

Peter也與不少女歌手，老將與新秀合唱過幾首膾炙人口的好歌

1986年與Amy Grant在首張專輯中合唱了"Next Time I Fall"

1987年與ABBA前女主唱Agnetha Fältskog在她首張個人專輯合作的"I Wasn't The One ( Who Say Goodbye"

都引起不少話題與帶來不錯的成績

1989年的夏天

他與雪兒的合作又是造就了另一首經典情歌

電影"Chances Are"(飛越陰陽界)

After All是這部電影的片尾曲

兩人的合作詮釋

低沉中性的女音與清亮高昂的男聲搭配，是很特別的一對組合

這支Top 6對唱極品也在成人抒情榜拿到4週冠軍，

並且獲得奧斯卡最佳電影歌曲的提名，

1992年在第三張個人專輯與Chaka Khan合唱的"Feels Like Heaven"

更是熱力十足的搭配
