1992年底

Whitney Huston(惠妮．休士頓)在"Body Guard"(終極保鑣)電影原聲帶中

除了重唱Dolly Parton(桃莉．芭頓)名曲"I'll Always Love You"贏得壓倒性的勝利之外

也重唱一首70年代Disco舞曲I'm Every Woman

當時她已身懷六甲不能隨著勁歌熱舞

只好由3個小妮子代勞當舞群

而這3個小女孩也因此聲名大噪成了日後的女子R&B團體TLC

這首Disco舞曲鄭是1978年由她所唱，曾經得過Billboard節奏藍調單曲冠軍。



說起「Chaka Khan」

可以稱得上是少有最帶勁夠力的女音

這一點可不是蓋的

少數幾個黑人靈魂樂女伶像是Aretha Franklin(艾瑞莎．富蘭克琳)

再也找不到幾個可以如Chaka Khan一樣如此帶有超強高壓電力似給人震撼

而她這麼多年來始終完好的金屬性超強音浪

三不五時就會讓聽眾領教這發電廠的強大威力

除了一副天生的獨門好歌喉之外

她所涉獵的曲風也很廣

在流行歌曲的架構下卻仍能展現出早期爵士歌手即興演歌的過人實力

本名Yvette Marie Stevens 的Chaka Khan1953年出生於美國伊利諾州

高中時代加入了Motown唱片公司成立之初的當家女歌手Mary Wells的巡迴樂團

之後便以非洲的姓名Chaka Khan為藝名

1972年組成Rufus合唱團，由Chaka Khan擔任主唱

1984年發行的“I Feel For You”專輯可說是集所有當時一流詞曲創作及製作人跨刀

王子所創作，歌曲中的口琴演奏者是赫赫有名的Steve Wonder

"I Feel For You”在1984年進榜，最高得到美國Billboard單曲榜第3名，也是一張金唱片

更在英國則登上了冠軍的寶座

除了主打歌以外

這首Through The Fire是她與David Foster首度合作的單曲

是首可收可放的抒情曲
