地處日本四大島最南端的九州（共可分為福岡、大分、佐賀、長崎、熊本、宮崎和鹿兒島等七個縣），一直以來都是日本與歐美文化的窗口之一，處處可見七世紀時與中國和高麗文化交界的歷史痕跡，提到日本九州您第一個想到的是什麼？

是建立於海埔新生地上，面積達152公頃（約就是東京迪士尼的2倍，中正紀念堂的6倍），與荷蘭景觀建築相似度百分百的豪斯登堡（Huis Ten Bosch）？

提到博多(Hakada)吃食，立即想到的一是(九州)博多拉麵、二是有特色的「屋台」(Yadai、路邊攤)。格主日前的東京之旅，特別轉往九州福岡，為了就是要一嚐日人稱為「B 級 Gourmet」的各九州風庶民美食。博多拉麵特色是濃郁的豬骨湯頭及細爽麵身，九州有不少拉麵名店，其中最出名的是一風堂，老闆河原先生 1985 年由博多發跡，已經開到全日本 28 家店。
