     2008年南半球最受矚目的大展雪梨雙年展(Biennale of Sydney，簡稱BoS)，已於六月十七日正式對外開放，已邁入第十六屆的BoS在泛太平洋地區相關的雙年展中歷史最為悠久，今年邀請歐洲策展人卡羅琳‧克里斯多福-巴卡拉姬芙（Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev）策畫，主題定為『革命---轉變的形式（Revolutions---Forms that Turn）』，也成為今年亞洲雙年展「藝術羅盤計劃」[1]（Art Compass）當中，首先開跑迎接世界藝文愛好者的展覽。

 

Prospect.1 New Orleans, the largest biennial of international contemporary art ever organized in the United States, is pleased to announce that its Vernissage will take place on October 30 and 31, 2008 with private previews to be held at all participating venues throughout the city. A Press Conference will be held for all pre-registered and accredited press on Friday, October 30 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Among the highlights of the Vernissage is the Opening Gala at the classic New Orleans restaurant, Antoine’s, on October 31, which will help to underwrite the costs of presenting Prospect.2. This event will be followed by the annual Frenchman Street Halloween Parade, in which the entire city and visitors turn to the streets to celebrate.

The 2008 Busan Biennale shows uniqueness of contemporary art from both east and west. 183 artists from 34 countries will represent a distinctive philosophy of "expenditure" and a vivid scene of contemporary art through a variety of artworks including paintings, photographs, videos, installations, outdoor sculptures, etc. Made up of the Contemporary Art Exhibition, the Sea Art Festival and the Busan Sculpture Project, The 2008 Busan Biennale unfolds at the Busan Museum of Modern Art, Gwangalli Beach, APEC Naru Park from September 6th to November 15th.

Mudam Luxembourg presents China Power Station: Part III, the third step of an exhibition project created in collaboration with the Serpentine Gallery in London and the Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art in Oslo.

What, How and for Whom / WHW is a curators' collective formed in 1999 and based in Zagreb, Croatia. Its members are curators Ivet Curlin, Ana Devic, Nataša Ilic and Sabina Sabolovic. Since May 2003 WHW has been directing the program of Gallery Nova – non-profit, city owned gallery in Zagreb.

Exit Art wants to tell you war stories through the vision of 9 international artists. Love/War/Sex considers memory, history, weapons and personal stories. As a cultural center, it is our mission to reflect what is going on in our society. We want to respond to current global conflicts by presenting this exhibition, Love/War/Sex, a comment on our culture’s fascination with, and addiction to, war. The title itself demonstrates the paradox of what war is, a combination of emotions, passions and idealistic convictions. Love/War/Sex considers the conflation of those basic human instincts—a toxic combination manifested in images and stories coming out of Iraq. This exhibition connects longing with violence and love with war, imagining the business of war in all its sensual manifestations. War, love and sex demand the same thing - commitment, and the purpose of this exhibition is to tell the story of these relationships.
