我一直覺得，像活人生吃或是二十八天倒數之類的電影，都會將觀眾逼入一種極權主義思維，一種想要全面抹殺個人其他可能性發展的想法；因為，除了全面否定私人生活外，否則無法確保安全。

在這些片中，劇中人物常常被十分危險的情境逼迫著改變人格，從一個平凡的、正常的、和氣的人，變成一個果斷的、兇殘的、無情的人；同時劇中也會有人在危險情境中，仍然保有溫和、慈悲的心，但通常這些人是trouble maker，於是在這類的片中就變成了「婦人之仁」者。例如活人生吃中，為了救一隻小狗，而開著大貨車闖進僵屍區的小女孩。小女孩的愛心，使得更多人要冒著生命危險來救他，我在看這類片子時，常常過分地融入情境，會對片中有除了逃命、生存之外其他想法的人們感到憤怒，覺得這些人比僵屍還應該被終結掉；例如活人生吃片中，那位一直想要妻子肚中嬰兒生下的黑人，他不管他的妻子是否因為被咬傷，有感染的可能，一意孤行地隱瞞大家，把妻子鎖在密室裡偷偷生產，就算妻子變身了他也無所謂，可惜最後他那僵屍妻子生出來的，還是一隻僵屍嬰兒，嬰兒最後也被 Sarah Polley演的女主角一槍幹掉了。

不只是對人性的否定，同時，這種片也將我的情緒推向歧視弱者的一面。在活人生吃中，活人群們搭兩部改裝過的貨車，要衝過死人群到碼頭，準備冒險坐船出海求生；兩部車當然被活死人們包圍，活人們用電鋸從車內鋸斷包圍在貨車旁的死人，但是其中一部貨車裡有一名老人正要發動電鋸時，因為年紀大腳力不好而摔倒，電鋸沒鋸到死人，反而鋸到活人，一堆被電鋸鋸到的人們撞到了司機，貨車失控，就出了車禍，車上好像有三、四個人，沒被活死人咬死，反而自己出車禍死了。

我看到那場景時，簡直氣炸了，深覺那沒用的老人根本應該被僵屍咬死算了，不斷大罵該死。電影一放完，才驚覺自己中了計。

Enigma也是我青少年時期愛耍屌的樂團之一，其充滿東方神秘色彩風格的新世紀樂風，正好是最佳的東方主義討論題材。其中大家耳熟能詳的"Return to the Innocence"正是取自阿美族已過已的長老英郭英男所唱的「老人飲酒歌」，不過我知道此事時，已經是第一次聽Enigma的五、六年後了。

Enigma的編曲超強，我有點懷疑他所有的曲子都是取自各不同民族的，但是能將這些曲子全部編在一起，而且十多首歌一次放，中間聽來毫無中斷感，這工夫可厲害了。話不多說，我們聽聽看，也順便看看非常好看的MV。

Meatloaf是我二十歲時接觸的搖滾樂團，他的曲子特點就是自卑和傷痛。完全沒有療傷功能，反而傷口加鹽，痛上加痛更令人爽快。
這部MV的導演最近超有名，就是變型金剛的導演Michael Bay
