卵石路上的伊斯坦堡_(原文刊登於LOHAS雜誌)

回應：卵石路上的伊斯坦堡_(原文刊登於LOHAS雜誌)

Why did I go to Turkey? Let me think! Oh boy! it was 15 years ago. I remember that I was so tired of my work, so I submitted my resignation, But my boss offered me a long vacation (as long as I wanted, but non-pay-vacation.) He said I could take a long vacation to have fun, and then returned to work at anytime when I got ready and happy for that only if I forgot about the resignation. At that moment, I just wanted to get rid of H.K. and China and went somewhere else. So, I got the tickets and flew to Greek and then Turkey alone.

I am always fascinated with the places where are with utterly pure or well mixed culture. "Character" of a place (I call it "smell") is much more important than what she looks like to me. Every single place is more or less with her own character, and some are intense, some are subtle. The poor (worst) place is you smell nothing from her, and it is just "pale".

Istanbul is a city w/intense "small", and the small is mixed with her people + landscape + architecture + food + history these make her culture so unique and dynamic. I hardly describe it, but I can smell it!
