水瓶倒出的流水帳

星期五時在收音機上聽到，裁判承認誤判。翻了一下 boston herald，發現名為 Official miss call 的文章。不過，目前連結有些問題，文章內容如下：

A third-quarter penalty on Ellis Hobbs, who was flagged for pass interference against Reggie Wayne in the end zone, should not have been called.

"There is no such thing as face-guarding," Greg Aiello, the NFL's vice president of communications e-mailed yesterday. "There must be contact to have a foul."

The penalty -- which came on a second-and-7 from the Patriots' 19-yard line -- led to a first down at the 1, and the Colts scored, and made a 2-point conversion, to tie the score at 21-21.

"I never touched him and the ball hit me in the back of the arm," Hobbs said after the game. Referee Bill Carollo did not reference face-guarding when announcing the penalty, but CBS analyst Phil Simms missed the call. "Face-guarding," he said. "Easy call."

patriots.com 也有名為 League official admits: a bad call was made 的相關報導。不過，今天 boston globe 卻報導，NFL 當局澄清沒有誤判。老實說，我是覺得有點硬坳，有看慢動作重播，應該都會覺得完全沒有碰到。

這個判決，可能影響了最後比賽的結果，也可能沒影響。對 Patriots 不利，則是沒話說。不過，誤判本來也就是比賽的一部份，不利的誤判，只能說是運氣差。比起去年的 Colts-Steelers 的季後賽，今年的實在不算什麼。去年 Steelers 能克服裁判至少兩次誇張的判決，還是贏了比賽。今年 Patriots 贏不了，也只能怪自己不夠強。像 Hobbs 這球，他如果能轉個身，那將是個輕易的攔截。

從幾年前 Colts 輸 Patriots 後改規則讓進攻更有利，到這兩年的季後賽，感覺 NFL 是一直想讓 Colts 贏就是了。進攻型的比賽比較容易吸引觀眾，但向來防守是決定冠軍的主因，因而聯盟希望 Colts 贏，也不令人意外。衝著這點，下週我要替完全被看扁的 Bears 加油。
