去年的紐約之行，我住在布魯克林區的 Montrose AV 地鐵站附近，距離新興藝術區 Williamsburg 只有三站的距離。

有一回，pulp 託我到 Williamsburg 著名的 Sound Fix 唱片行尋找一張黑膠，據說價格低於 Manhattan 其他唱片行三到五塊，難得前一週才在店裡看到，不趕緊入手只怕被別人搶先一步。

那張膠片是 Neil Young 的 Tonight is the Night。

我沒聽 Neil Young，也不認得唱片封面，腦袋裡不斷浮現 Yo La Tengo 的 Today is the Day。

沒差，Tonight is the Night 還不就是 Today is the Day 的夜晚版。

Today is the Day 夜晚版，
我走在長長的 Bedford avenue，牢牢地記住這張專輯。

為了節省時間並趁機和帥哥店員攀談，一走進店裡我就直接轉向櫃檯：Hi, I'm looking for Neil Young's "Today is the Day"......

Shit！話一說完我就知道糗了！更糗的是，心裡竟然有個聲音默唸著：the NIGHT version......

話說，倒數了這麼久，終於，Today is the Day，我卻想起 Neil Young 的 Tonight is the Night。

那首歌到底長什麼模樣？！
