「對於那些人們認為醜陋、冰冷的聲音我特別感興趣」Ben Frost說。於是在澳洲墨爾本實驗電聲製作人Ben Frost的新專輯「Theory of the Machines」裡頭，不難預見與Mika Vainio、Michael Nyman、Max Richter、Autechre與Aphex Twin等人相同的音樂特質。在我眼裡，早已視Ben Frost為半個冰島人。Ｏ五年以前，Ben Frost一直居住在冰島首都雷克雅維克；其個人闊別近三年的全新專輯同樣交由冰島製作人Valgeir Sigurðsson(Björk、Bonnie'Prince'Billy、Nico Muhly)操刀製作，唱片幾乎以冰島嚴峻與極地音樂為取材。
