先前說過，we are soldiers we have guns來自前Douglas Heart、Laurel Music女歌手Malin Dahlberg所組成的新樂隊。成員還包括前Royal Downfall、Knugen Faller等組合的Robert Tenevall以及前Franke、Douglas heart、Afraid of stairs的Pontus Wallgren。雖然取了一個十分陽剛的樂隊名字，但聽過Malin Dahlberg輕柔的嗓音與音樂之後，腦子裡卻想起了日本樂隊Spangle call Lilli line。僅管音樂上並不盡然相似，但we are soldiers那源自於emo與indie-rock的低調吉他音樂，卻依舊美麗。

we are soldiers we have guns音樂上的平和，就如同Malin Dahlberg所憶起自己的中學生活；亦或是那遠足車廂上無聊的對話。Malin Dahlberg並不認為we are soldiers只是為了耍酷或裝可愛，她只是平心靜氣地將自己所觀察的筆記一一化成音符記錄下來。we are soldiers成立後首先於瑞典Yellow Mica底下發行首張自製ep唱片"we are soldiers we have guns:s/t"，隨後英國stereo test kit廠牌並在廠牌合輯"Records Make Great Pets - Vol. 1"中收錄了一首tourists in our hometown的we are soldiers單曲。去年夏天時他們受到Jon Brännström的協助完成了另一張名為"we are soldiers we have guns - s/t EP"的5曲唱片。(包括先前於Yellow Mica旗下所發表過的damn those tv-shows damn them straight to hell、jodi´s noise兩首歌曲)根據Malin Dahlberg自己的說法，先前Yellow Mica版本的ep唱片是他們於自家所灌錄完成的自製唱片；而stereo test kit則首次以cd形式發行了這批作品與三首新歌。

以鋼琴與風琴打底的開場曲tourist in our hometown，Malin Dahlberg以小女人的歌聲引領我們進入we are soldiers we have guns的神秘花園。緊接著古典鋼琴曲Redefine的恬靜則帶著淡淡的感傷，尤其在那緩飄電吉他加入之後。damn those tv shows,damn them straight to hell打著節拍器鼓點與延遲吉他、提琴伴奏，再配合柔美和聲的輕詠，十分甜美。onhold有著濕潤的風琴延音與女子輕柔的吟誦；而尾曲Jodis Noise的小品吉他、細碎電子節拍，像深夜中細細游動的微風，掠過樹梢偶爾刮落沉睡的幻夢。不知是怎樣的原因，自己突然也想把Douglas Heart找來聽聽。

we are soldiers we have guns consists of Malin Dahlberg (also in Douglas heart, Laurel music), with help from a whole lot of friends; Robert Tenevall (Royal downfall, Knugen faller) and Pontus Wallgren (Franke, Douglas heart, Afraid of stairs) should be mentioned.

At fist it was just a large pile of songs that the other members of Douglas heart had rejected. Now, we are soldiers we have guns is the music I wish someone would have played to me when I was 11 and forced to go to school even though I hated it.

It's the songs I would have written if I knew how to when hiding in my high schools toilets, hating the cool and the not so cool kids equally.

It's songs from the backseat of tour vans, listening to a whole lot of craptalk about nothing.

we are soldiers we have guns will never be cool or cute, and it will never be ironic.
