挪威Shoegaze新貴Serena-Maneesh新作『SM Backwards』面世

2005年的同名處男大碟『Serena-Maneesh』曾經有一度被自己拿來和至愛樂隊My Bloody Valentine的『Loveless』相作比較；當然不是指稱Serena-Maneesh只是一支MBV的Copy Cat樂隊，某種程度上自己已經把對於Shoegaze的喜愛移情至Serena-Maneesh身上。首張專輯一方面邀來Sufjan Stevens的跨刀，另一面並獲得Steve Albini、Martin Bisi等人的監製，完美地揉合了MBV、Amon Düül、Swans、Spacemen 3以及Royal Trux等人的影子；在Emil Nikolaisen以及前成員Lina Holström雙主音的率領下，呈現出難得大器的Psych/Shoegaze Rock風骨(現在陣容增編至7人)。2008年交由奧斯陸著名音樂品牌Smalltown Supersound發行的全新作品『SM Backwards』其實是將2002年『Fixxations』與2005年『Zurück』兩張EP合併發行，並收錄了一批樂隊早期的錄音與Remix作品，共計17首曲目以雙碟型式發行。『SM Backwards』完整地呈現出樂隊草創時期粗糙接近Royal Trux式的Lo-Fi Rock以及Cocteau Twins、Spacemen 3式的空靈Space Rock風味，Disc II的8首Mix仍屬不俗之作，並將S-M的樂風引領至Dark-Ambient的綺麗聲境。
