今年比較特別的是在我的Top10名單中有三首是沒有vocal的
對於習慣聽diva vocal + soul house的我來說是比較不尋常的
首先是我年度第三名的Twisted Nerve (Kill Bill Theme)舞曲版
這個不知道是誰將Kill Bill裡面的口哨歌混成舞曲還真好聽
第五名的Esperanza在Defected In The House International Edition II
中竟被誤植為Soul Purpose的Salsa House，真是大烏龍
最後則是Frankie Knuckles的Gimme Gimme，有相當優美的鋼琴獨奏


Jack 'N' Daniel則是今年意外發現的混音小組
連續兩首老歌新混都相當不錯，都是拍子夠重的Soul House
Destiny's Child的Cater 2 U應該算是bootleg的混音
雖然這個版本完全沒有bassline，但是編曲相當好聽
我把其中一段拿來當手機鈴聲，還被同事要去用哩
Fantasia的Free Yourself和Anita Baker的Close Your Eyes應該也是非官方混音
我本來就很喜歡Free Yourself這首歌，David Harness還是一貫的優美編曲
Anita Baker鮮少會出現舞曲混音
這首歌的bassline相當弱，充其量只能當"欣賞用"的舞曲
不過因為是配上Anita Baker的vocal，當然是大大大加分！


其他的就不一一多說了
今年最愛混音師應該還是Richard Earnshaw
Ce Ce Peniston / Deeper Love、Nina Jayne / Circles和
Louie Vega / Elements Of Life都是他的混音作品
Atlantic Soul和Jack 'N' Daniel也是明年值得注意的混音師
Ralphi Rosario近來作品也轉回Soul House，值得期待
Kathy Brown果然還是當今Diva豪傑
這首Stronger On My Own還登上英國流行榜#6
video也拍的相當有趣
