不知道誰是Gary Brooker? 那你聽過 Procol Harum 這個主要用電風琴, 鋼琴雙鍵盤與吉他奇異編制的英國團體? 無論如何, 你至少聽過Whiter Shade of Pale 這首挪用Bach G 弦之歌的電風琴間奏。

這張專輯是這首名曲的主唱/鍵盤手 Gary Brooker, 離開Procol Harum 之後, 1979年首張單飛的代表作: "(No More) Fear of Flying。由Beatles 的製作人George Martin 擔綱操手, 讓這張的progressive 味道不至於玩的過火。

飛行恐懼症可是真實的, 也可以是一種隱喻, 代表對死亡或人生「不可知」的部分的一種莫名的恐懼與焦慮。我沒有要特別介紹這張唱片, 只是今天早上, 突然感到title track 同樣的焦慮, 歌曲中詼諧地面對荒謬的情境。人生是一種異境, 從異域到另一個異域的轉化, 需要堅持, 無須恐懼。
