耶誕節「快到了」。
知道我的朋友們，其實都明白我不太過節的，特別是像情人節或者是耶誕節那麼樣大的一個節日，我很怕人多，妻也是如此，於是我們約定好只過我們自己的節日，一個個專屬於我們的紀念日。
耶誕節前的12月21日是一個特別值得提起的日子，因為在四年前的這一天，Emma小朋友誕生了，她用她宏亮的哭聲為我們打開一個全新未知的世界，接下來的一千四百六十個日子，我們每天都在探險，每天都是一種全新的練習。
上個禮拜，我們在整理Emma冬天的衣服，才發現四年來她長大好多，身高已經是出生時的兩倍，體重更是翻了好幾番，從當初的3600公克到現在的18公斤，這樣的一組數字，對所有的爸媽來說都是一種無可比擬的成就與驕傲，於是在關上衣櫃的同時，我跟妻都露出滿足的笑容。
Emma現在是幼稚園小班的學生，送她上學時，我愛看著她坐在灑滿陽光的玄關長椅上，一邊換鞋子，一邊與她的好朋友聊天，雖然不知道她們到底聊了些什麼，但是從Emma一副怡然自得的模樣，那份獨立自信總是讓身為爸爸的我覺得放心，因為自己的女兒已經有能力處理人際關係，而且比起小時候那個在幼稚園愛哭的自己實在是強多了。
妻總是對我說：「這種彌補的心裡在爸爸身上總是特別容易發酵。」其實我更想對妻說：「Emma身上所有好的特質都是來自於妳，她的美麗、她的可愛、她的獨立、她的勇敢、她的善解人意…」，而一個男人的幸運莫過於此。
因此，12月21日，不僅是Emma的生日，也是妻成為母親的重要日子，更是香蕉共和國必不可少的紀念日，以下這首歌是送給妳們的，To Make You Feel My Love，不論何時何地。
