Happy New Year 2009
Dear Friends: Long time to see. How’s your life? At the moment of the end of the year, I would very happy to say, Goodbye 2008. Please never turn back to us forever.
Habbe says hi to you guys when he is dreaming!
In spring, Taiwanese elected KMT back to the government. As I guessed before, they don’t have good ability for governing but just want the power as if any politician. However, KMT gave me a big surprise for declining democracy, regressive human right and trustless legally process. The whole country lean to China, and people who didn’t vote to KMT have no idea to change their policy. The President Ma likes a innocent little rabbit; He says he doesn’t know anything until reading newspaper in the morning.
To harmony with the political low gas pressure, my 2008 is also boring. Work and study have nothing to say at the first half year, and my uncle, the core of my family, was dead. Everything would be better in the half last year of my personal life. It’s lucky. But the global financial storm was coming soon and destroyed the economy of the world. The only thing to be worth to say is that I moved to Sijhih City in Taipei County.
Leaving custom Neihu is a big decision for me. Sijhih is really long distance to downtown Taipei, but having good environment for LOHA life for me. A famous Japanese writer Kenzaburo Oe (大江健三郎)wrote a book “A quite life(靜靜的生活)” (1990), the title can descriptive my mountain life in Sijhih. It’s lucky that Teresa and I are working for public service; we are effaced lesser under the financial storm.
2008 is not a good year. I wrote my dribs and drabs life experience in my blog. It’s not good memory so I don’t want to say it again. I wish they will pass with the time. For the next coming year, I will more steady to the “Politics as a Vocation” and “Intellectual Orientations” of my life. Wish you are always stand by me and pass the hard condition of the economy hand in hand. When the dark is coming, the morning is not so far away.
