閱讀心得:
The title of the novel reminds me of the song "Dear John",
a breakup letter to end a romantic relationship. Similarly,
in the novel, John Tyree, met a girl of his dreams, Savannah Lynn Curtis on his leave from the army. They both realized they had found their true love; however, during their long separation, Savannah fell in love with someone else and wrote John a Dear John letter.
The novel is a heartbreaker in some ways.
What I've learned from this novel?
1. A major event or an important decision can change the
course of life forever.
2. A parent's love for their child/children is forgiving,
unconditional, and unlimited.
3. We have to find passion in life.
I can't agree more with what is said in the novel:
...the saddest people I've ever met in life are the ones who
don't care deeply about anything at all. Passion and
satisfaction go hand in hand, and without them, any
happiness is only temporary, because there's nothing
to make it last... (p.71)
4. What true love really means:
Love means that you care for another person's happiness
more than your own, no matter how painful the choices
you face might be. At the end of the novel, John made
the hardest decision in his life in the name of love.

Dear John is a novel that will touch your heart.

書名:Diary of a Wimpy Kid Rodrick Rules
《遜咖日記: 葛瑞不能說的祕密》
閱讀心得:
閱讀Diary of a Wimpy Kid Rodrick Rules，
就像看一部充滿笑點的電影，
文字對白極其有趣，
搭配文字的漫畫趣味十足。
閱讀這本書，
充份體會閱讀樂在其中的感受，
好幸福!
在這本書中作者對Greg Heffley一家人有更多的著墨，
也成了本書中的最佳賣點及笑點：
Greg Heffley的哥哥只愛玩樂器，不愛做功課。書中誇張描述他打字的速度：
Rodrick went in the computer room after dinner, and you could
hear him typing about one letter a minute. (p.48)
Rodrick有次要交英語科報告，平時Rodrick的作業一向由他爸爸代勞。但是這一次他媽媽不准他插手，堅持由Rodrick自己動手做。但是他爸爸就是看不慣，於是:
Dad waited for Mom to go to bed, and then he typed Rodrick's whole paper for him...(p.49)
Greg Heffley的弟弟Manny超級愛揭他的瘡疤，神奇到可以告他兩年前的狀，Manny看到了Greg Heffley打破了玻璃門，但是那時Manny還不會說話。
因此Greg Heffley心中大驚：
So after Manny started talking, I had to worry about all the bad things he saw me do when he was a baby. (p.103)
可見Greg Heffley不只在學校吃不開，在家也是處處碰壁，不像哥哥備受父母
寬容，弟弟則是備受寵愛。
書中的最後是Rodrick參加冬季才藝秀(the Winter Talent Show)，狀況百出，Greg Heffley的媽媽超級搞笑，反客為主，搶了鏡頭，Rodrick的明星夢也宣告結束。Rodrick怪Greg Heffley不幫他錄影才會讓他媽媽把事情搞得亂七八糟，於是Rodrick終於氣不住，向朋友抖出Greg Heffley暑假裡做的一件不能告人知的秘密...(p.p.204-215)，有趣的故事也進入尾聲。

書中的俚語用的很道地：
1. I could tell the sound of Rodrick typing was driving Dad totally
bananas. (p.48)
(drive somebody bananas=drive somebody crazy)

2. Mom and Dad didn't have any evidence that I was the one who did it, so they couldn't peg it on me, and I was in the clear.
(p.103)
(in the clear=to be innocent)

3. Grandma has kept that note all these years, and she's STILL holding it over my head.
(hold something over someone's head:
to have knowledge of something about a person and to use that knowledge to control the person. )

閱讀心得:
書中提到Kaizen (改進)這個概念，旨在讓一個組織領導及員工朝著以下幾個目標努力，以提高效率：
Solve problems at their resource

Maintain and improve standards

Improve housekeeping

Eliminate waste (p.178)

其中關於good housekeeping的"5S"可做為提高工作效能的參考：


Sort out what is necessary from what is unnecessary.

Straighten out the workplace. Make sure everything has a place
and everything is kept in place.

Scrub the workplace. Keep the work site tidy at all times.

Standardise Establish standards for housekeeping and stick to it.

在談效率時，工作環境的整理和維護是不能忽視的。井然有序的工作環境中比較能讓人集中思緒、充份利用手邊的資源、不浪費不必要的時間尋找物品或檔案。
事實上，作者也指出:

書名:大鼻的抗癌日記
作者:趙大鼻
心得:對於癌症依舊保持著樂觀的心去面對,幽默的故事中表現了親情的可貴,最後戰勝癌症病魔.

心得：這一本裡有很多小故事，我最喜歡的故事是『視而不見的親情』，這一篇是在說有一個小女生和媽媽大吵一架就跑出去了，當時她沒有帶錢，突然有一位和藹可親的奶奶請了那位女生吃碗麵，那女生很感謝那位奶奶，結果那位奶奶說
：「我只是煮了一碗麵，但你的母親為你做了這麼多事，你卻視而不見!」我覺得我們很多人都覺得父母為我做什麼事是因該的，但我們的想法錯了，我們因該要感謝父母!!
