[Reception] The Beehive

這間 Beehive 是到哪裡都被推薦的羅馬住宿地點，很巧的是因為行程安排的關係，剛好住過他們所有的三間公寓，連去辦住房手續時，小姐都問：「我是不是看過你？」艾瑪心中的OS：「是啊是啊！我來辦三次手續有兩次是你辦的耶～」

這隻貓，也看過他很多次了吧？這是老公拍的，我覺得拍起來感覺很欠揍的樣子。

1. 寵物篇

暖暖的國慶日午後，這隻黑貓很慵懶地躺在 Beehive 的玄關木椅上。

睥睨的眼神很像對著我說：「你沒看過這麼酷的貓嗎？」

許多有特色的店家，都會有一隻具代表性的動物來突顯出他們的特色。
例如：我曾經去過日光的實之屋民宿，他們有一隻很大的牧羊犬 Johnny桑。

所以我私自揣測，這隻酷黑貓應該也是 Beehive 的象徵寵物吧？！

2. 櫃臺篇

這家 Beehive 很有意思，除了宿舍式的 dorm (shared room) 之外，他還有三間公寓散佈在火車站的另外一頭。也就是住房取鑰匙的地方，跟這三間公寓，分別在車站的兩頭。於是，每次住房前（我們是分開的三天住房，所以只好分三次 check in。）都得先走過去拿鑰匙。取鑰匙的櫃臺就在羅馬特迷你（Termini）火車站外四個街區的地方。

題外話：講到這個特迷你車站，他可一點都不迷你，大到讓你從下車的地方走到車站出口要十幾分鐘的時間。我說這車站蓋得這麼大是為什麼啊？！

從特迷你車站出來之後，一頭是公車總站，另一頭感覺亂亂的，一堆吉普賽人遊蕩。往亂亂的那頭走過去就對了！這一區有非常多各式各樣的旅館供旅客選擇，其實不止這裡，車站附近旅館很多，三步就一間。只是羅馬的旅館大多很舊，不事先訂房，在當地找的話，除非銀子多，不然恐怕只有住 dorm（很多人一間的 hostel）的命運，而且還不一定有床位。別懷疑，兩年前的六月底這事情就血淋淋地發生在我身上。

在 Beehive 門口，有一個很精緻的小門牌，門牌邊有一個對講機，只要按一下，無論是誰我看她都開門（不知道有沒有針孔攝影機在監視？）。進門後，是一個小花園，很美麗。尤其午後的陽光交錯灑在庭院的白色椅子上，坐在上面享受夏日的溫度，似乎是外國人的嗜好。除了庭院外，我看到了一堆小朋友在「畫畫」？這還真是奇怪，莫非有夏令營在這裡舉辦？住這個 dorm 不會太寒酸了一點嗎？

進門後（下圖就是門口往櫃臺拍攝的），就是這樣一個小櫃臺，裡面有著一台不太好用的 APPLE電腦。

在 Beehive 中，到處有畫作。原來這也是他們的特色之一！

（下）辦好 check-in，我們想借放行李，於是走進了這邊的 dorm-room。
             哇！好美喔～ 環境很好耶，很乾淨。

我好想要來這裡住喔！但是 dorm-room 在我每次想住的時候都滿房。殘念！

3. 收費篇

Beehive 在辦住房手續時，跟一般飯店一樣看護照、填住房單，要拿鑰匙之前會請你將住房的所有費用以現金付清，沒有刷卡服務。以我們住公寓式的 private double room（雙人房）來說，一個人30歐，說貴不貴，但要在車站附近找到這種價位又是不與他人共用的房間，這已經很合理了。隨便一個 shared dorm room 都至少要 20 歐，還不一定有床位呢！所以當初我在網路上訂房時，一聽到他說有房間，不加思索趕緊回信 confirm。

4. 訂房篇

在訂房的過程中，我在 Beehive 的網頁看到一些文字，深深覺得這是一個很有規劃的旅舍，有興趣的人可以過去看全文。我在這裡舉一兩個例子：

1. If we do not respond to your e-mail confirming your cancellation, please assume that we did not receive it and either try again or contact us by phone.
   （艾瑪亂譯：如果我們沒有以確認郵件通知您取消訂房的話，請假設我們沒收到信並再寄一封或以電話與我們聯繫。）
    
2. We will not alter our policy for changes due to strikes, delays due to weather, health problems or any circumstances outside of your or our control. If this is a concern, we suggest purchasing appropriate travel insurance to avoid any potential losses.
   （艾瑪亂譯：我們的住房規定不會因罷工、天候因素、健康問題或任何不可抗力的情況而有所改變。如果您在意，我們建議您買適當的旅遊不便險以免有任何損失。）

最後，在訂房完成確認之後， Beehive 會寄過來一封完整的 check-in 手續。在最後面還提到，如果你從特迷你車站過來，請不要搭計程車，因為就只有幾步路。而且兩人成行的旅客，可以一個人在車站看行李，一個人來付錢拿鑰匙，這個確認信講得非常清楚。

CHECK-IN PROCEDURES:

1. Please come to The Beehive at Via Marghera 8, which is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  For directions from the train station or from the airport, click here – http://www.the-beehive.com/printablemap.htm
2. Payment in full is required at check-in.
3. Payment is only accepted in cash, in euro.  We do not accept credit cards, traveler's checks or other foreign currency for payment.
4. Rooms are ready by 3pm (15:00).  If you arrive before that time you are welcome to leave your bags and use our facilities.  We regret that we do not have secure storage for left luggage, but you are welcome to leave small valuables in our safe at reception.
5. Once the rooms are ready you will be given a set of keys and a map with directions to the apartment.

• CANCELLATIONS:  You can cancel your reservation automatically at http://www.the-beehive.com/cancel.htm by providing your reservation ID and your e-mail address, or by phone by calling us at (39) 0644704553 or by e-mail at info@the-beehive.com   If we do not respond to your e-mail confirming your cancellation, please assume that we did not receive it and either try again or contact us by phone.
  
  CANCELLATION & CHANGES: Your credit card information is held only as a guarantee of your arrival.  If there is a change in your plans we must receive one full calendar day notice in advance prior to your arrival or your card will be charged according to our reservation policy.  Also, if you have reserved for a certain number of people and you do not give us one full calendar day notice that the number of people has changed, you will be charged for those cancellations. An example of one full calendar is as follows: if you are reserved for the 10th of the month you need to let us know by the end of the day on the 8th of the month, giving us one full calendar day between the date of your arrival and the date of your cancellation notice.  However, we greatly appreciate more notice on any changes in your plans.
  
  We suggest you print out our map located on our website for easy to follow directions.  If you are coming from Roma Termini train station do not take a taxi. The Beehive is only a few short bocks from Termini, but if you arrive after 3pm and want to avoid transporting your bags more than necessary, you can always have one person stay with the bags at the station while another member of your party comes to the Beehive to pay and collect the keys.  If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail or call us.
