Marking the 80th anniversary of the birth of revolutionary leader Che Guevara, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine in Jabalya, in northern Gaza, organized a day of free medical services on Friday, June 13, 2008.

The day included medical checkups, including pediatric, cardiopulmonary, and dermatological screenings. Doctors provided prenatal care for pregnant women, and pharmacists provided medicines.

Particularly, hundreds of women and children participated in the program, in which over 750 illnesses were diagnosed, and the Union of Health Work Committees provided free treatment. In addition, 700 children received distributions of packaged milk, and medicines for diabetes, high blood pressure and other serious illnesses were distributed.

Participants pointed to this as an example of working for and serving the people, a revolutionary duty exemplified by Che Guevara and a fitting tribute to his birthday.

REMETTEZ LE POUVOIR À LA COMMUNAUTÉ INTERNATIONALE. Ni les Etats-Unis, ni le gouvernement irakien ne peuvent mener à bien ce processus. La question irakienne a aujourd'hui besoin d'acteurs impartiaux et légitimes, comme les Nations Unies, l’Union Européenne, ou l’Organisation de la Conférence Islamique.

RETIREZ-VOUS. Les Etats-Unis doivent respecter le souhait de 78% des Irakiens et se retirer definitivement d’Irak en accord avec un plan de retrait ébauché avec l’accord des groupes irakiens.

On parle de plus en plus d’un «choc des civilisations». Mais le problème n’est pas culturel; il est politique – du 11-S à Guantánamo, de l’Irak à l’Iran. Cette querelle aux racines profondes n’est pas inévitable et beaucoup de gens dans le monde ont d’ailleurs déjà exprimé leur désaccord face à ce conflit. Ensemble, nous pouvons y mettre fin. Mais par où commencer? Le conflit israélo-palestinien est le symbole du profond gouffre qui sépare l’Islam et l’Occident. L’heure d’installer une paix durable est venue: les dirigeants internationaux doivent agir. Regardez notre nouveau vidéo et signez le pétition ci-dessous. Et restez à la table des négociations jusqu'à ce que la paix soit retrouvée...
