早期ECM以外，唯一讓人想按編號找來聽的爵士廠牌。
廠牌的風格走向，與其創辦人(之一)兼大台柱鋼琴手Stanley Cowell六零年代末開始的spiritual black new jazz大致相同。而恰好Stanley Cowell的兩部代表作，一在此Strata-East (見下面推薦)，另一在ECM。
