2007 "Year Zero" ARG 遊戲
這是樂團九吋釘Nine Inch Nails，主唱Trent Rezno，在2007年四月發行專輯Year Zero所進行的宣傳，而此專輯的特色就是架構在2022的未來(future-based)概念上。

This site speculates whether Parepin is a medium for the government to control the minds of its citizens. When you email the site owner, who has stopped using the drug because of his conspiracy beliefs, you get this email back:

第二個線索
The site seems innocent enough, until you click and drag the main page pictures, revealing another, more disturbing, picture underneath. When the under-picture is totally revealed, a link takes you to a message board. We can tell you what is discussed on the message board (a new drug called Opal, the introduction of the Angry Sniper character, and disturbing pictures of “The Presence”).
第二個線索是專輯的第14個曲目"Another Version of the Truth"，引導到網站http://www.anotherversionofthetruth.com/。乍看很單純，但是當你點選拖曳首頁圖片，會發現底下另一張令人不安的照片(見下圖)。當底下的圖片完全顯示出來之後，有一個訊息公告欄的連結，以及三個影音檔audio clips (here, here, and here)是人們抱怨政府的介入。訊息公告欄討論一個新毒品叫Opal，以及介紹Angry Sniper性格，和「The Presence」令人心驚的圖片。
From this, we can now figure out that "Year Zero" is a serious concept album, set in the year 2022, which has been rechristened by the government as 0000 (or Year Zero, see?) with a story to explain where we are and how we got here. In Year Zero, there is no longer a distinct separation of Church and State. Perhaps due to an onslaught of bioterrorism attacks, the government has assumed totalitarian control and used the threat of future terrorist attacks to justify their absolute power.

Here, we should introduce you to “The Presence,” an ongoing motif in the game and the subject of Year Zero’s cover (above). “The Presence” is literally a giant fucking four-fingered hand that, supposedly, came out of the sky. It’s speculated that “The Presence” is everything from a giant tornado to the impending rapture to a government ploy used to scare its citizens. Whatever it is, it looks foreboding.
回過頭補充，什麼是“The Presence”？這是此遊戲的中心，以及此張專輯封面上，其實就是從天而降只有四根手指頭的手。(請見下圖)
It can be seen that every few pages contain a certain step in building a bomb.

http://www.bethehammer.net/ is apparently a resistance site maintained by the Angry Sniper. Here, you’ll find numerous stories showing how America has gone even further downhill in a post-George W. Bush era.
這個be the hammer網站，很顯然就是Angry Sniper所維護的反抗網站，可以在anotherversionofthetruth.com訊息公佈欄上找到網址。那時美國人民很討厭當時的布希總統，所以有無數的故事講述美國是怎樣在後布希時代開始走了下坡。

http://www.105thairbornecrusaders.com/ The “Angry Sniper” mentions he served under this unit of “Soldiers of God Under the US Flag.” The Angry Sniper might be the main narrator in Reznor’s scheme. He is the most reoccurring character in this story and after serving time in the military, finds himself entrenched in the “Resistance.” His experiences from both fringes of society make him an ideal candidate to tell Reznor’s complex story.
be the hammer網站提供了105th Airborne Crusaders網站的線索。這位Angry Sniper提到他曾經在105th Airborne Crusaders單位服務過，這個單位是要宣傳政府為了保護"God's green Earth"，所以需要在政教上有控制權。

A USB flash drive containing an mp3 of “My Violent Heart” was found in a bathroom at a concert in Portugal. By reading the file through a spectrograph, the static at the end of the song actually showed the picture of a hand reaching down from the sky, which would be known as “The Presence.”
在歐洲巡迴時，葡萄牙樂迷會在洗手間發現隨身碟，裡面有新專輯mp3歌曲的 “My Violent Heart” ，歌曲的尾巴有摩斯密碼，解出來就是一個網址。如果用攝譜儀儀器掃檔案，就會掃出The Presence的手臂。

A second USB flash drive containing the song “Me I’m Not” and a second mp3 of static was found in a bathroom at a concert in Spain. When the static track was put through a spectrograph, it spelled out the phone number 1-216-333-1810. Calling this number returns a wiretapped phone conversation which is described from a different perspective at U.S. Wiretap.com

在英國演唱會也發送USB隨身碟，裡面有 Year Zero專輯的第一首歌“Survivalism"(生存第一主義)的vedio。這個vedio引導發現了the water turned to blood (水變成血)網站，以及cedocore網站。
備註：要解釋cedocore，就得說一下Joseph Heller所寫的小說「第22條軍規a catch 22」，這個軍規簡單說就是讓人「做不對，不做也不對」。簡單解釋cedocore就是製造可以控制人心智毒藥的藥商。
