Sounds and Fury

我曾寫過，Bruce Springsteen 的政治行動是曖昧的，但是他常在現場演唱中展現他的政治態度。在最近為了專輯The Seeger Seession的巡迴演唱會上，他演唱了專輯中沒有收錄的Pete Seeger著名的反越戰歌曲"Bring 'Em Home"。這首歌名恰恰是今年三月紐約一場反戰演唱會的名稱。關於那場演唱會的我的紀錄見這裡。
現在，他把他演唱這首歌的版本放在他的網站上免費下載。當然，讓這首反戰歌曲免費下載的動作，政治態度是很明顯的。


另外，我在兩三年前曾經在一個電視節目上看到Pearl Jam現場表演Bob Dylan的經典反戰歌曲Master of War。沒有比那個時刻更讓我深刻感受到搖滾樂的力量了。
當時我並不太記得具體的歌詞-----雖然這首歌絕對是史上最好也最激烈的反戰歌詞。


但即使沒看到歌詞，即使這首歌是不插電演出，但看到Eddie Vedder演唱時沈靜但憤怒的神情，聽到這首歌的極具力量的音樂，真的是讓人無比激動。
重新回去看歌詞，我發現Eddie Vedde的詮釋似乎比Bob Dylan更能展現歌詞的憤怒。
