本週有幾個活動，先記下來。當然，有一個活動叫做情人節，只是跟我是沒什麼關係的。本來還想要不要找朋友吃飯，結果發現當天演一部關於哈維爾的紀錄片，很棒。

Kosovo and the Final Status Process
The UN-mediated process to determine Kosovo’s final status began late last year. On the eve of the UN Security Council’s discussion of Kosovo on 14 February, the Prime Minister will talk about his personal view of the process and where it is heading for Kosovo and the region. His presentation will be followed by a discussion with the audience.

Citizen Vaclav Havel Goes on Vacation Date: February 14, 2006 from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm EST
Location: Columbia University

In the summer of 1985, Vaclav Havel decided to go on a roadtrip - to visit friends, and also to test the extent of his civil liberties as a citizen of communist Czechoslovakia. The results were Kafkaesque in their absurdity: over the course of nine days, Havel was arrested twice, charged with "incitement to disturb the peace," and held in jail for a total of four days. All of his hosts had their homes searched, and several of them were detained as well.
The director will introduce the film and respond to questions after the screening.

參加東亞所邀請的一個小聚餐，主角是日本外交官Akira Chiba（國際媒體部主任），也是外交部的中國事務專家。要聊兩岸關係。


最後，原來昨日的大雪是紐約有史以來積雪最深的。恐怖。今早一起來，發現天氣放晴，此時看積雪又是不同味道。我把同一個景拍了三張照片：大雪中、昨日大雪剛停，和今早的晴天白雪。有興趣的可以看看這裡。
