　　今天發現的團（雖然他們已經散了……）。Cop Shoot Cop是今天查資料的時候查到的，一個在紐約起家的樂團。我現在做的書提到一狗票紐約團，但是大部分我都沒有興趣，但這一個被label成industrial rock，而且編制跟別的樂團不一樣：常見的編制就是吉他兩隻、貝斯一隻，可是這個團剛開始的特色是兩隻貝斯、沒有常駐吉他手？真詭異。基於好奇心，我在Youtube上面試著查查看有沒有他們的歌，結果還真的找到下面這首Room 429，一聽就愛。（←不過聽的時候我完全沒去弄清楚雙貝斯是發揮在哪……）

這首歌的歌詞很有恐怖片的fu。會讓我想到Nick Cave。Strapping Young Lad翻唱過這首歌，但是我還是比較喜歡Cop Shoot Cop版。

　　因為對這個團非常感興趣，所以我想辦法弄了他們的歌來聽。前兩張專輯嘛……我想，他們那時候真的比較不在意悅不悅耳（默）。但是第三張專輯Ask Questions Later（就是有收錄Room 429的這張）還有最後一張Release就ear-friendly很多，有加上一點爵士的fu。他們的歌陰暗中帶有某種奇怪的遼闊感，很像黑夜在半空中俯視大海。
　　他們的團名很怪——乍看文法不對，不過他們是這樣解釋啦……一開始組團的那幾個人都討厭警察，然後剛好看到有個報紙標題是Cop shot cop或者Cop shoots cop之類的。但是wiki上面也提到另一種可能的解釋，跟毒品有關：cop這個字還有另一個意思是去買毒品（特別是海洛英）。所以Cop-Shoot-Cop的意思就是吸毒者的生活例行公事：弄到毒品→打毒品→再去弄毒品……。（如果是這種解釋，那就根本沒有什麼文法錯誤了XD）。
　　因為聽得太滿意，我很想聽聽看Cop Shoot Cop首腦Tod A後來弄的新團Firewater怎麼樣。照慣例，我先到Youtube上面去撈撈看。結果很妙，我不小心撈到一個影片的標題是「Firewater—Yellowcard」，我很自然地以為是Firewater樂團演唱叫做Yellowcard的歌，一放來聽就大吃一驚（非常鳥語花香的音樂，跟我完全不合），這是怎樣，為啥風格驟變啊？——結果事情是這樣的：另外有一個樂團叫做Yellowcard，他們有一首歌叫做Firewater……囧。（其實很好笑，Tod A所屬的樂團說不定特別容易跟人家撞名？Spiritualized這個團有一首歌，竟然就叫做Cop Shoot Cop。）
