馬康多小鎮 2.0

禮拜四收到EMAIL時，是相當雀躍的，沒想到會入選。雖然這個EMAIL犯了點錯誤，一是把我名字打成"Chin-Wei"，另一個竟然把台灣劃分在PRC下，看來得去函嚴正聲明，搞不好還要在瑞士為"中華民國在台灣"正名。這次十五天，比日本的七天嚴峻多了，跟三十位來自世界各地的青年們討論永續發展，一是語文的挑戰，另一則是知識的挑戰。得好好把硬碟裡1.2GB的環境相關資料好好讀一讀，以及思考你要如何把台灣在永續發展上的現況，介紹給其他各地。（為台灣拼外交的責任感突然油然而生！環境外交總比金錢外交或是情色外交好多了吧！）但更大的難題在於我能否在七月分前把政策環評裡的責任區完成啊！


總之，祝我自己一路順風。

Dear Chin-Wei:

Congratulations! You have been chosen out of a pool of more than 150 applicants to be a participant in the Youth Encounter on Sustainability-YES, which is hosted by ETHsustainability, the Center for Sustainability at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH Z"urich), on behalf of the Alliance for Global Sustainability (AGS) in Switzerland this summer.

We are very excited to work and learn with you this July 9-24 and hope you confirm your participation as soon as possible, so that in the case of you not being able to participate we can bring another participant with sufficient time.

We will contact you with all the further details on pre-reading instructions and on travel, visa, etc., as soon as we receive your confirmation of participation.

In order to start organization procedures right away, please let us know once more the following information:
* Your full name (as it appears on your passport, indicating first name and family name),
* Your nationality, and
* The port of departure (city or airport name) on your way to Switzerland

If you decide to join us, we will pay for and organize your travel, so that you arrive in Switzerland no later than Friday July 08 (Friday) and depart from Switzerland on July 25 (Monday).

While these are the arrival and departure dates we are targeting for everyone, flights are often full during the summer season. We thus ask that you be flexible with your arrival and departure dates. In case you have plans to travel in Europe before or after YES, please let us know the dates in your confirmation e-mail.

There are cases when the air tickets are cheaper if booked in the home country, so we ask you to also look for tickets and provide us with price and itinerary information so we can choose the best option to bring you to Switzerland (Zurich airport).

The participation fee of USD 1000.- (which includes the cost for travel, food, lodging, excursions, and course materials) must be paid by May 25 the latest, and should be paid to the following account as soon as possible:
