電影非關男孩裡的小男孩馬克斯是個很憂鬱的綜合體，他的母親是個特立獨行的人，甚至經常情緒失控，這讓馬克斯先天就擁有比一般人更敏感和憂鬱的體質。當他在學校裡被排擠、當他不想上課的時候，總是對著窗外輕輕地哼唱The Carpenters的「Rainy Days and Mondays」，想想這場景和會議上報告後的我很相似。
