８手亂談

這是GJ星期天出去玩的時候買來送我的! 好高興哦! 看看那個大鼻孔和牙齒，好可愛、好ㄊㄧㄨˇ的河馬! 這傢伙還蠻夠意思的嘛! 對完全沒有要追的女生夠朋友，這是大大加分的人格優點，那我也要很夠朋友，以後會好好幫他推銷滴...


其實我並沒有在收集河馬，但收到來自朋友的小禮物，還是很讓人窩心!我很喜歡這種看似蠻頇魯莽、其實也真的挺蠻頇魯莽的動物，下面有一點點以前寫的河馬資訊，他們可是很有趣的。河馬挑釁對手時，是把想什麼時候出來就什麼時候出來的便便，用可愛的尾巴掃到對方身上耶! 真是不優雅到很令人激賞的程度! (我是認真的!)


會自稱河馬，其實完全是意外，因為那是我家麻吉阿謫給我亂起的名字，對，就是我們八手之中，從來沒有PO過文章的那個人! 這是大家的損失，他可是文筆精湛、舌燦蓮花、辭溢乎情的駢文王子! 當初一起在練肖話之時，他不知道該怎麼稱讚我 (還是不願意?!)，就說我是 "賽母豬的... 親親小河馬"! 我個性太好，沒能當貂蟬不打緊，居然興高采烈地接受了小河馬這個愛稱，還沿用到網路世界裡。這友情畢竟是不平衡的，他會叫阿謫，其實也是因為我。我完全真心誠意地稱他 "天上謫仙人"，因為他善良樂觀的秉性，在虛華膚淺中懷著理想的人生觀，常能神來一筆練肖話的天賦，和總讓人驚艷的文采。結果，人家是落入凡間的仙人，而我卻是只比母豬好一點的河馬，這算什麼! 真是夠悲涼...


只是想愛現一下GJ給我的禮物 (阿謫你學著點!)，我喜歡這個河馬! 順便想起我和阿謫愛稱的由來... 好懷念的時光啊!

Did I tell you guys that, among the existing terrestrial animals, hippos are the closest relative of whales and dolphins? (There was a relevant news lately: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,227572,00.html) Our own most good-natured "Whale Rider" Wei-Chien sent me this hippo pen from home. A pleasant surprise! :)! Thanks a lot! (And this inevitably triggered the thought that: Why hasn't my HHH sent me any free gifts from Shanghai?!)

Not a hippo collector, but lately I found that hippos are really amazing animals that totally "suit my taste" - 蠻頇 and carefree :) Just learned a lot about hippos from a PBS program "Hippo Beach" (http://www.pbs.org/wnet/nature/hippo/), documenting a population on Luangwa River's Hippo Beach in Africa. They are cutely ugly, foolhardy, vegetarian, territorial, gregarious, fierce (wish I could ever be like that...) A funny feature is that their adorable butts and tails would sweep their dung from their ass to enemies when they get angry and ready to fight. (You have to see that, was quite entertaining and inspiring to see them throwing shit at each other with their short funny tails :)! ) Also, as "meaty" and heavy as they are, they actually can run surprisingly fast (yes, with their fat, short legs). When they come up to the sand beach for a sunbath, their skin would turn pink. Another weird thing is that, when one of them dies for whatever reason, they would stay with it for a long time, touching and "kissing" it, as if they are "mourning" the death of a kin. For me, this is a curious behavior for animals...

My friend Vincent was talking about white water snorkeling near the magnificant Victoria Falls on the Zambezi River in Africa. He heard that some hippos flowing and swimming in the river would accidentally drift into the Victoria Fall and become "hippo pie" - disappear forever...

Anyways, conclusion: I like hippos! My dear HHH Bryan, nice pick! (However blind you were when you ramdomly picked it to mock/humiliate me) Haha :)! I miss you by the way... (tears in eyes...)
