這是一部洋溢青春朝氣的喜劇片，以六０年代美國一支搖滾樂團為主線，描述他們揚名成功的經過，和樂團成員的喜怒哀樂、友情，與愛情。

　　對於湯姆漢克斯這位連莊影帝，他的導演處男作會是如何呢？首先他網羅了一群新秀：【 偷香】的女主角麗芙泰勒；長得頗神似自己的湯姆艾略特史高特；曾在【編織戀愛夢 】裡驚鴻一撇的強納生薩奇，來詮釋這個一曲成名的「奇蹟」。他們清新的臉孔正合適這個青澀卻又活力四射的樂團。雖然在演出上，湯姆漢克斯退居配角，給年輕人機會，但全片緊湊綿密又不失趣味的敘事手法，在在顯示身為編劇與導演的他功力不凡，除此之外他還為本片譜寫了四首歌曲。對於許多演而優則導的演員們，湯姆漢克斯的表現是令人驚喜的！

分鐘的power pop曲風作品,表現了率性、朝氣、活力這
些年輕搖滾所需要的迷人特質，還帶有一點復古流行風
這正是Fountains Of Wayne的招牌樂風
(這團是我的最愛團之一，側拍常出現他們的歌像-冬季旅行)

這影片裡的主角是鼓手，是個熱愛爵士樂的鼓手，而女主角就是麗芙泰勒呀呀呀。十年前的她有夠清純漂亮的，看到她就很開心。湯姆漢克的演技就不用說了。
